I like fishing. I also like cooking. And I like treasure hunting too.
This game has them all.

I need to confess that since I am not a hardcore fan of the Elder Scrolls series, to me, playing something declared iconic as Skyrim felt like that I was playing a kind of separate fantasy game featuring extensive content and storytelling, which, at least parts of them, would require the player to play the prequels, Morrowind and Oblivion, to gain a fuller game experience in Skyrim.
Yet, I do agree that Skyrim has deserved its reputation and its rightful place as one of the greatest fantasy games of the last decade. It is a game which emphasizes the diversity of adventures and individual character development throughout the main story and multiple and optional side quests while keeping the basic stat and skill systems simple and comprehensible enough for the bigger gamer audience. What has kept Skyrim's popularity quite high even today has been various mod additions and the active communities which are currently having increasing expectations for the sixth Elder Scrolls game.
Skyrim is a rare game which I can find constantly enjoyable, and this is a very big deal for me. I am aware of Skyrim's some flaws in terms of NPC design, skill and/or combat mechanics, and occasional bugs and glitches, which, according to some, make Skyrim somewhat inferior to Oblivion. These matters are debatable, and, as a non-expert of the previous and current TES games, I prefer valuing the good things on the game over underlining its bad sides.
I highly recommend the game. That's all I need and want to say.

Thanks to this game, I see the Cold War era as a really goofy part of humanity's past.
