Getting into Dota 2 split my gaming life into a very distinct Before and After. Every game I'd played before Dota now felt boring and repetitive to go back to. Every game that I'll ever play after has to deal with me comparing it to Dota (Dota wins every time). That's probably the greatest compliment I could ever give to a video game, and I'm glad this is the multiplayer game I chose to spend time on all those years ago.

EDIT for the Steam badge: I still feel the same way about Dota as I did 8 years ago when I wrote that first review, and I think that speaks for itself.
