Tough to learn but totally worth it. 10/10 game for sure. Most 2d games aren't my thing, but this one is very satisfying, very fun, and very challenging.

Early Access Review
Fantastic game. Highly recommend. Very fun and funny until your friends die, and then it's scary as hell.

The game needs serious performance help though. Even the best graphics cards have huge frame drops when some monsters spawn in (and possible memory leaks?). The fact that this game is so small/simple and has so many performance issues is a problem. Still recommending because the game runs fine in most instances, even on my old 1050TI.

This is the best thing 343 has made since Forward Unto Dawn. Combining all the originals and updating these games to allow for content sharing, multiplayer, forge, campaign, etc? Amazing. Supporting mods is a huge bonus. Companies doing that is amazing, as they did that in COD: World at War, Terraria, and Garry's Mod, just to name a few. Adding content into the game that was originally blocked by Bungie was a great idea as well. Spawning in Pelicans and Phantoms were some of the biggest things I wanted to do in Halo Reach Forge and now it's possible.

My biggest complaints are:

1. Main menu is awful, navigation is annoying, and there's no trace of the original start screens anywhere. If there was some way to go to those, I'd do that in a heartbeat. I miss the original SFX and music when navigating, and I especially miss the Halo 2 start screen. I'd watch that all the way through every single time before playing the game.

2. They removed all traces of Bungie. I played through the entire Halo Reach campaign and waited for the ending screen to show the Bungie thank you message, and it was gone. I understand this is owned by Microsoft, but Bungie is the ultimate creator of these games and seeing them removed in my eyes is 343 taking a dump on the originals.

Other than that, this is 100% worth getting.

P.S. Halo 1 Remastered has garbage graphics but you can change them to the original in the settings (Although they are missing a lot of the detail compared to the original Xbox Edition). Halo 2 Remastered is fantastic though.

Best COD game by far. The game has a built in mod loader (mostly used for zombies) and the campaign is truly amazing. 9/10 for sure.

Not enough hours in this game

This game has a little bit of everything. Basically anything you can imagine is probably in this game. This game is what got me into programming and making my own games. I highly recommend people to play this. Hours of fun, and if you get bored, download something random off the workshop and play again. It never gets old. This is a must buy, 10/10

I actually probably played this game 1000+ hours when it was still new...prior to the steam update using "invisible" hours. Anyway, this game has changed a lot. I tried to like the new updates, and as much as I like the loot boxes being removed which was the whole reason I left this game in the first place, the new physics changes and the speed of the game making it extremely fast and not a 30 minute game like it used to be, makes finding matches extremely stupid. When you finally find a game, you get rewarded with a ♥♥♥♥ in your ass from the enemy team, and within 3 minutes the game is over....and then you're back waiting 2-5 minutes for a game. When the game was a slower pace, and plasma cannons weren't garbage, and people played cautious so they wouldn't get obliterated by railguns and aircraft shooting plasma. The game was a lot more fun. Build your own version of World of Tanks. Now it feels like a cheap rip off of the original.

This used to be my favorite game. I played nearly 24 hours straight with a team of 3. We never left the couch that day.

I could word this better, add more details, etc...but I bet if you look through the reviews, someone else explained what's wrong with this game in greater detail...

A lot of potential that was horribly missed...

Playing with randoms is a totally different experience than playing with your friends, but I highly encourage getting a group of 6-10 people that you know to play this game. Playing with randoms isn't necessarily bad, it's just that a lot of the time they are mostly 14 year old's that mass vote people off. Fun game, very polished. Totally worth buying.

Even if you don't like 2D games, this is a great game and you will enjoy it. I cannot stand playing 2D games but I absolutely enjoy this one. It takes a LOT of getting used to. Just when you think you know how the game works, you discover something that changes the entire game. Totally recommend playing. Has plenty of things to discover, unique boss fights, plenty of mods to change up the game, and more.

HOWEVER: If you are new and play with friends that already are veterans at this, I suggest you let them make you be the one who progresses the world, otherwise it gets overwhelming and the discovery of new things won't be anything special and the game won't be as fun to play.

At first, I wasn't sure about this game. It reminds me a lot of Sea of Thieves in its development position where it feels like once you find everything there is to know about the game, you kinda have to create new ways to play or you run dry. However, the developers (much like the SOT developers) are keeping people up to date with what they are adding and are working on making the AI much better for when you are playing single player. MODS are supported and are so much fun to play with such as energy shields, weapons, new AI, etc. They are really working to make this game a great one and it already is a ton of fun to play. 353 hours played so far and I'd like to see where they bring the game in the future.

About the DLCs, many people are complaining about them so I figured I'd give my POV on it. They are completely optional DLCs and if one person owns it, everyone else can see them and interact with them but cannot place them. I think this is much better than simply not allowing people to play together simply because of DLCs. This also allows the company to earn more money since the game is already cheaper than most to begin with, which allows them to add even MORE to the game in the future.
