Judging by screenshots, this game is so easily dismissed as a foregone fan favourite JRPG with a cult following - and this would technically be correct ... but ask yourself, why is this one of the highest rated, reviewed, praised and loved games of all time?

Well, that's because this game... oh boy, this game... it will leave it's mark on you.

While not playing, you're thinking about this game.. later, as you approach the ending, you'll feel dread at the idea of this story ever ending... and then ... when you finally allow yourself to complete the game, your heart will feel warm and broken at the same time - broken because you already miss these friends you've come to adore spending time with. Ridiculous as it sounds this game somehow makes you experience the story like it's your own.

Not to mention the soundtrack is brilliant! These tracks will hum through your head even when you're not playing.

Crazy - but Persona 4 has just the right balance of story, character and humour to melt my usually cynical self.
