For a game so simple, I would never imagine the dire consequences I've suffered from playing.
It began with the lingo of the game. Typically, a player would call another "sus" (short for "suspicious") when they were displaying impostor-like behavior; the antagonist of the game. I quickly caught on to this, incorporating the word into my vocabulary. As any other player would, I would call my guess at who the impostor is "sus".
I began to find this term, though I dislike to say this, "cringe". It sounded very stupid, so I tried to minimize my usage of it. This was around the time where the internet meme "When the impostor is sus!" began to circulate, and I quickly caught on, using the phrase in any Among Us-based discussion.
This phase calmed down for a bit, but, as of recently, I've found myself in a state of insanity. I cannot stop myself from calling things "sus". This trend began ironically, but, due to excess usage, I have unintentionally added it into my vocabulary. I began to see many everyday objects as crewmates (the characters in Among Us).
I can no longer have a normal conversation. My social skills are utterly demolished. This is a request to the authorities, and to medical professionals; please find me and liberate me from this torment. My wife and children are afraid of me, and I want this all to end.
