Great Potential, Bad execution

It pains me to give this game a bad review, well, bittersweet. If steam had a score based review system this wouldn't had to happen. As there is no other choice I'll give it the "recommend" tag because I feel that it is still something worth checking out. Now, lets start.

I was heavily intrigued from the first time I saw the trailer for Moons Of Madness and was quite looking forward to it. What I got was a restricted experience and unpolished product. The movement feels heavy and restricted, that along with the mechanics of the game. Storywise I didn't really have an issue, it was ok but in terms of what I was expecting, being a Lovecraft fan myself, I was disappointed. In terms of performance, the game had a very stuttery feel in many areas and the framerate was constantly changing, even though I have a more than capable PC, this shouldn't be an issue. If we have to talk about the puzzles I'd say they where frustrating, not because they where hard or anything but I feel they could've done a better job in the execution. Overall my opinion on this title is mixed, just like the reviews for the game overall. I see the game underneath, and it's a shame that that game that I can see is not what the final product offered.

Overall: 6/10 It could've been better, or worse

Oakwood has an interesting story and setting. I was quite spooked and glad to see dinos used in a horror setting as if done correctly, it can create a great experience. Although short, it was quite impressive. I look forward to a sequel with more polished controls and newer game mechanics. It's short and clunky but I think it deserves a chance, especially because of it's lingering story about oakwood (the forest/park itself)

What never was has an interesting premise, but it falls short, too short. There isn't really much I can say other than it has some nice graphics and an interesting cliffhanger. That's what this game feels like, not a game but more like a demo for an upcoming tittle. There is an upcoming sequel, I hope it can be longer than 25-30 minutes.

Beauty in Color

Gris is a canvas, a canvas ever so empty.. filled with dots of jet black paint, however, eventually it fills an empty reality with color ever so bright, so beautiful.. vibrant and sweet, warm and comforting.. yet so sad...

This game is a representation of a troubled mind, twisted reality.. It's a game about Grief... what pain and sorrow can do to the heart. While trying to move forward you'll encounter roadblocks, gaps in between you and your goals. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression... Acceptance. This is what GRIS is about, a game about grief, an experience, a representation of a girl lost in her own mind, fighting for another day. An ever so lovely game, with a powerful meaning.. Simple yet charming.

A short Hike

Firewatch is one of those games where honestly you can just let go for a moment, get immersed with its atmosphere and reflect. Most of the time while hiking from one point to another, you just cant help but stop for a moment and take in every single sight, honestly it's quite peaceful. This game takes on the themes of loss and weight, our troubles and thoughts, it's a game about self reflect, to move on, to face our troubles face on. Sometimes you just have to take a step back, stop for a moment and enjoy.. reflect. I wish the game was a little bit longer but that doesn't take away the experience this game really is. Right now, as of today, I myself am dealing with some weight, and trying to live with it, learn from it, and as someone who has known loss and well.. unfortunate endings, this game really speaks to me, so, if you yourself have something on your mind, take a hike, watch the sun rise... experience it from a lookout tower. Highly recommend.

Metro 2033 is, in my opinion, a game that has been misunderstood by many people, it's sure, not perfect but by far one of the most unique and immersive storylines I have experienced in all of my gaming journey. The redux version is a well-delivered improvement from the original installment which I had the pleasure of playing in my Xbox in my console days.

Although it may have some technical issues ( which I have not experienced other than one ) it is not something that will kick you out of immersion. The only problem I did face was a frustrating rerun in order to unlock one specific achievement, this one did not want to unlock even though I had reached and well surpass the parameters for it to be unlocked. In the end, Metro 2033 is a great experience, a game that should be given a shot. I can finally put it to rest as I can say that this game has been fully completed. Highly recommend.

Although many will give a bad wrap to this title, the truth of the matter is that AVP is a great time. Sure it might not be the most polished game you'll play but on my defense there's nothing to complain. I've seem some unfair reviews of the game, but in reality is something that I think a good amount of players will enjoy, especially those who are a fan of the franchise. In short, AVP is an underrated title that has been buried with time, but one that still has a fan base that cares for it and still plays to this day. Highly recommend.

Darkwood delivers an unnerving horror experience that will lead to many frustrations and hours of game play.
This game does deliver on its phrase at the beginning of your journey... You will not be lead by the hand. Although to some it might provide some frustration and an overall dislike to the games nature, it is not for every one. I really enjoyed this game and what it has to offer. The story is interesting and the game play and combat mechanics can provide a real challenge to its players... and its survival as well.

I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who would like to experience something refreshing and seek a challenge. Now that I have finished the game, I'll be adding a "few" more hours in order to get every little detail about its story.

Although at some times I wanted someone to trow a bone at me because of it's silent story its actually quite enjoyable in its style and atmosphere. The gameplay is smooth and quick, the sound track is amazing, and the overall experience was a blast in this broken but beautiful world.

Hyper Light Drifter is a great experience for those who are willing to explore it's world and have the time to master its quick combat and platforming skills.

Down to 85% at this point, And I gotta say... Wow. This game is a solid 10 for me, even thought it can get frustrating at times, this game is simply beautiful. Although I'm at 85% left, I keep discovering new areas and fights to keep me playing.

Highly recommend it !
