It runs even worse than I expected. The level is pretty, but it's basically unplayable at the frame rate I got. Even at the lowest settings, it felt choppy and unpleasant, and at that point it's just HL2's graphics with interactive snow on the ground and significantly worse performance.
Good luck to the team working on this project. I'm sure they'll figure out how to optimize the game eventually. But I can't recommend this demo to anyone.

TF2 is a game with deep and satisfying gameplay, fun characters, and a semi-relaxed atmosphere which is hard to get from PvP shooters these days.
It has its problems. It's full of them, in fact. But despite all of its flaws, TF2 is an inherently fun experience. I grew up with it and I am still playing it all these years later, enjoying the game together with both old and new friends.
Download the game, tweak the default settings so your field of view isn't miserably low, and play whatever character you like. They're all cool in their own ways. Learning can be a bit rough, but in a casual environment victories and losses don't matter much. Focus on doing what feels fun and get better at the game one step at a time.
