Rust was once a great game, I loved it. I had never put so much time into just 1 game before, I could play it for hours upon hours with friends. Over the years of playing from 2013 all the way to 2021, I had learned to perfect the recoil and become decently skilled at the game.

Sadly over the last year, the dev's dropped a patch which absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the gunplay and made it incredibly easy for anyone with 1 hour to 10k hours pick up a gun and just use it with no skill involved, just pull crouch pull down. It's sad for all the players who have put so much time into Rust, who took hours and hours to learn the recoil and become insanely skilled for it all to be taken away.

I've tried to get back into the game, but it's just not fun anymore. I wish Facepunch would make it an option for some servers to enable old gunplay/sounds, but god knows if they ever will.
