I liked it for a different skin on the tried and true Hearthstone formula initially, but once it's crossplay came in I was excited to get some time to play it on the go, however my account had a snafu with password recovery. Despite best efforts reaching out to customer support, my tickets kept getting closed down (three times in fact). Raising this concern in the official Discord (among others with the same issue) yielded zero helps. Their support ticketing system is inadequate for lower tier asks like this.

I've certainly watched this game played more than playing it myself, but it's sandbox nature offers a great setting for a few friends playing together, doing all they can to survive. DayZ, at least whe it first arrived on the scene, was more about PvP than zombies. The other people were the bigger threat. The game is one of those that is a joy to watch streamed, especially on an RP server.

Now having completed Class II races: this game continues to be brutal, but amazingly fun. The comparisons to WipeOut, F-Zero, and Episode I Racer are valid. If you're a fan of either franchise and wanted something comparable and modern, this is it.

Will update the review as I progress. Recommend joining the Discord server for mustering online play as it's hard to find opponents these days.

SO FAST and INTENSE!

Early Access Review
This game reminds you how terrible a shot you are, often. But it keeps bringing me back to try out new strategies, as terrible as they are. My favorite way to start a solo match is waiting until the plane tosses me out, and then I hit my parachute as soon as possible, pushing forward a bit to my slowest possible speed (around 20mph) then just float towards the first circle and land when there's no more air to drift in. Currently my best "time" is 43 players remaining. I then either go pistols only, no weapons at all or just try to sneak around till the end, quite frequently getting in the top 5-10.

Fun game! I love the theme and the mechanics are easy to learn. I've just played the introduction matches and really loving the thoughtful puzzles. The early progression is very well balanced as I don't find it too hand-holdy or leaving too many questions about what to do next. Definitely check it out if you've been looking for a casual Hearthstone alternative.

TRON RUN/r is my first foray into any sort of temple runner style game. What drew me in was the fact that it's TRON. I'm a big fan of the asthetic and lore of the TRON universe, including both movies and the far too short-lived television series. I picked up the Ultimate Edition, so I suspect there are still modes coming my way via the Season Pass.

The game itself is all level based, which can be played over and over again to accumulate a higher score, as well as collecting 'bits' which are used to purchase one time use upgrades such as weapons and companion programs (think your classic Disney animal companion or in D&D terms - a PC's familiar). Both weapons and companions assist in racking up that score, or keeping you alive long enough to reach the end.

I've only scratched the surface in the Runner and Cycle modes. I lasted all but 30 seconds in the Stream mode, but I suspect I need more practice. This game is easy to pick up, but definitely hard to master. It'll humble you for sure and brings back some much needed challenge if you're up for it.

There are three main issues I want to see fixed by the devs at some point that I've found so far:
- I actually can't claim this one as multiple people in the Discussions forum have brought it up: the Recognizers in the menu screens are not solid! If the rest of the environment were wireframe, I'd have no issue, but even in the original TRON film, they were solid. Tired of seeing the yellow wireframe. I know this isn't a graphics issue as others have stated it and I even saw a Twitch stream with the same result.

- The opening title screen needs a way for it to be skipped! We shouldn't have to wait until the TRON RUN/r title starts to animate in to begin button mashing Start or A.

- In the screen where you select your upgrades, there seems to be no discernable way to quit the game. You must exit out to the main menu or mode selection. Seems to be an oversight.

Will update as the game progresses.

PRO's/
- TRON!
- Easy to learn
- Awesome soundtrack
- Disc throwing!
- Lightcycles!
- Sweet skin customization

CON's/
- Game development dead. Dev team refuses to discuss.
- Missing art for the Recognizers in the menus
- Needs a skippable title screen
- Lack of Game exit in the upgrades screen
- Lightcycle controls could feel a bit tighter

8/10 - Will keep rebooting

I'm really digging Verdun. Complex, yet easy to jump right in. Lots to master. This along with Insurgency brings back the feeling of playing capture the flag in the woods. The sneaking and crawling to take down the enemy's fronts definitely gives me childhood flashbacks. The good kind.

I'd like for the controlsand commands to be a little clearer to find within the game itself, especially for squad captains. There's lots of community made guides that I fault no one but myself for not looking through enough yet. I think it'll only improve with time.

I'm new to actually playing the Elder Scrolls, but have watched others play both in person and stream. Skyrim especially, is quite an exhaustive experience that has years of playthrough in it, even now three years out from its release. Thanks to very active community support and the ease of use of Skryim Nexus and Steam Workshop, the customization is limitless. I'll keep coming back to this whenever I feel the itch to tromp through the snow or stealth through a dark, dank dungeon.

Pick Legendary Edition up (wait for the next Steam sale if you like) and check out Gopher's Skyrim Mod Sanctuary on Youtube to get started on your journey.

You Need this App. No really, it's amazing. Budget doesn't have to be a bad word.
