Even a lifeless, emotionless, hateful socialist like myself, I have finally re-libertized my spirit, I love spreading managed democracy and dispensing liberty now as a patriotic loving Super Earth citizen! God Bless Super Earth!

Very solid game all around.
Although the story itself is one of those too weird to follow in it's entirety, but just weird enough to follow in it's context type-of-story, I had a great time playing with Jesse as she kinda meta-talks to you.

The COMBAT game-play loop was fun for me, all the different abilities (especially in the Foundation) and the VARIETY of mods there were (basically character buffs) was insane and I really enjoyed leveling up and trying to go for different builds with different mods, especially since you can stack mods.
A few of the missions were VERY fun, especially any that had you taken to another level or solving some puzzle followed by awesome items or a boss, but Overview Hotel had a few, fun challenging puzzles but most were just click all the buttons in a room, so sometimes it felt repetitive, as did some of the missions that just had you run around and find a single enemy in three rooms around the map or shooting certain things around the map, while some missions had you go through different puzzles or fight some serious enemies, it felt like not all missions had the same love in it.

The DLC were both also very fun! The Alan Wake DLC was pretty cool, since I got to see Alan Wake but the gameplay loop is reminscent of old console games where to beat the boss you gotta do something a few times over, but then fighting the boss was definitely more fun since it was an actual enemy.
The Foundation DLC was a lot more fun with the terrain and map setups, it's a DLC that's particularly fun for people who like to speed through linear combat zones and the base enemies there are actually kinda fun to fight.
The Arcade Games, which are really just game-modes and boss reruns were also really fun since I wanted to challenge myself from events before and I got to relive some of the boss fights.

Overall. solid game that will occupy a good amount of time, granted you have the DLC and do the side missions and try some Arcade games.

This game is very slow, boring and unscary. The horror is just "ooh" its dark or the setting is dark but the monsters themselves aren't very scary and if they catch you the game actually skips that section's monster and basically lets you go through without the monster. The story is very uninteresting as there's little to no buildup or background about the characters, just that they're racially different lovers with a child. No background/story build up = no attachment to the characters. The puzzles are also very random and there are little clues or context clues for you to figure out what to do to progress the game.

This game is literally like smoking meth. It rots your brain and soul while getting you addicted.
The developers who balance this game? Smoking meth. (Realistically, forced to push through updates while prioritizing monetized content at the behest of their private shareholders).

If I had to be serious though, I would NOT recommend Dead By Daylight to anyone who can't get into the niche of the game within the first week. Try it when it's free or discounted, because while there is a lot of free content, the grind is obnoxious and most of the game-changing meta perks are locked behind the paid licensed characters with developers who will inevitably re-balance and then break multiple things since they're going to just keep releasing more content. I honestly wouldn't recommend anybody playing this game long-term and continuously having fun.
It cost upwards of $200 to purchase all the DLC, with around $80-100 of that being licensed characters that you cannot earn for free. It takes THOUSANDS of hours to grind, and longer just to learn all the 32 different killers, 200+ perks and the thousands of little gimicks which the game makes NO EFFORT to tell you!
Most stuff about this game have to be learned through content creators and wikipedia articles. Did you know that they just nerfed Plague without telling the playerbase in the last patch? I barely did. This game has a lot of love, but sometimes you question if the developers even touch the game???

AND THEY REMOVED 2v8 (this review will go positive when it comes back)

Me, though? Sunk Cost fallacy got me whipped, I am not stopping.
(I have been playing since 2019 on console)
