Spawns are broken, quick use slots are weird, health, damage and value stats need to be configured. (But there're mods that fix those)

Stalker 2 in its current state is a terrific foundation for the game to come following months or more of patches from GSC. It's still fun in its current state. I've read about bugs that break the main storyline later on, but I've also read others saying they haven't experienced that. Either way, the base loop of exploration and combat is great fun with simple balance mods included, although without A-life, it's very reminicsient of Fallout 4. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definetly not what Stalker is meant to be.

Similar in atmosphere to stalker in some ways, if you liked those games this is cool too.

A mix of dead space and half life one.
The campaign is a good length.

The RPG system of being able to become more powerful using neuromods was a good feeling of progression. Once I obtained the shotgun along with 50% extra shotgun damage the game became a little too easy though, even on nightmare difficulty.

There's an enemy in the game that's made out to be incredibly dangerous, with a mission pop up every time it appears making it out to be a huge threat. The thing is, it's simply not. At least not with the shotgun it isn't.

It's a bit of a shame since it's visual and audio design are astounding.
The story is very well done although the main plot becomes dormant for the mid sections of the game as it makes way for more gameplay and side quests.

There's a gun you get later on in the game called the Q-Beam which I found no use for. Only one enemy had an apparent weakness to it and even then it took much longer to kill it compared to if I just had've stun locked it with a shotgun, which the Q-beam cannot do.

I didn't upgrade the Q-beam in anyway though, but I never had to do so with the shotgun.

There's a decently thought out enemy weakness and immunity system, requiring you to use EMP devices on electronic enemies or the gloo gun on almost any enemy to temporarily freeze it and do more damage to it.
Once again the shotgun was just too godlike and I only ever used special attacks on one high tier electronic enemy and one high tier psychic enemy.

You'll be spending a lot of time listening to disembodied voices talk to each other via transcribes you can find littered about the world. Sometimes they give useful information which can be used to bypass skill checks but usually they just pose to give a better understanding of the original outbreak and current situation aboard the station.

At about the half way point of the game a character steals the identity of a dead cook. While it was a really good idea to have the player pay more attention during the transcribe conversations, they practically beat you over the head yelling "DON'T TRUST THIS GUY HE'S BAD" As if the guy couldn't care less if he was discovered to have a stolen identity. Which of course defeats the whole point of it being hidden in the first place.

Right at the end there was a big reveal of a massive space faring alien as big as the station. This would have been surprising if it didn't all happen in a cutscene in which I was teleported to face toward the window and couldn't move my head away from it as a character talked in front of me.

I'm just gonna end it here but all in all it's a good single player campaign, although I wouldn't say it's worth 45 dollars.
I got it on sale for fourteen or so and for that price it was definetly worth it.

If you think you're any way decent at FPS games, limit yourself on how many upgrades you use as well as how much you use the shotgun or else the second half of the game will be underwhelming.

Boneworks but with a little less interactivity in it's enviroment.
Does everything else much better, although the lack of stocks on the firearms is subjectively annoying.
Would also be really nice if it had the arm swinger movement option from H3VR, but it's possible a mod could fix this in a few months.
