this game genuinely changed my life for the better. i have several hundreds of hours on this game across the ps3, switch, and now pc just replaying this absolute masterpiece. if you have not experienced persona 5 royal yet, you should do yourself a favor and do so!

This is my absolute favorite fighter and my go-to. I've been playing it for a few years now. It honestly changed my life, as my love for this game is what sparked my passion for fighters as a whole.
The visuals are clean and perfectly stylized, and the color-scheme is awesome too.
Every attack feels like it has an impact in the battle, and it's pretty easy to string attacks together to make some insane combos on the fly.
The game is also fairly well balanced, with lower tier characters not feeling entirely outpaced by the top dogs (in casual matches at least).
The music in this game is some of my favorite fighting game music ever. I even listen to it when I'm not playing, it sits perfectly in the background to let you focus on whatever you're doing while still making its presence known and boosting the hype.
Customization wise, every character has a total of 35 pre-set palettes available for them in game, which are mostly amazing. The ones that aren't amazing (such as the aptly named color 35: clamorous colors) can be easily modded as well.
EDIT: Hundreds of hours later (across multiple systems) and I just need to say I still stand by everything I said about this masterpiece. However, UNI2 is out, so maybe give that a look instead of picking up CLR.
