If you haven't played this game, drop what you're doing and start right now.

I'll admit I picked up The Witcher 2 a long time ago, played it for a few hours and didn't like it. So when the The Witcher 3 came out, I didn't pick it up. All my friends were playing it and they told me, "It's such a great game, you would really enjoy it." But I was stubborn and set in my decision, so the game came and passed.

Two years later I see The Witcher 3 on sale, with expansions, I don't have anything else to play at the moment so I picked it up. But a few hours into it, I knew what a fool I'd been. The game is, simply put, phenomenal. The story, the mechanics, the writing, the characters, everything about the game is good. And as if a great game wasn't enough, it might be the only game I've ever played where I thought the DLC outshined the main game; which for a game this good is saying something.

So now I sit here 118 hours of playtime later and I wonder what other amazing experiences I've lost throughout my life. What chance encounters, and unbelievable spectacles have drifted by me as my eyes were locked forward, my hands stubbornly rigid at my sides. Don't be like me, reach your hands out, grab life before it passes you by, and while you're at it, grab this game as well.

It pains me to have to spend my first Steam review ever being negative, but I feel compelled to do my part to potentially save someone else from wasting money on this "game". And I put the term game in quotes because, now, after years in development, I feel comfortable saying that Castle Story barely qualifies.

Save your money, because Castle Story will never be released, and if it someday is, it won't be fun. You can be confident in that.

Kerbal Space Program is an amazing example of an extremely entertaining game that also has quite a bit to teach you. Highly recommended for everyone with even a passing interest in space, and even more highly recomended for anyone that doesn't...so they'll get interested.
