Hotline Miami 2 is arguably the best sequel of all time. Its setting, spanning the 80s and 90s, expands the game's lore significantly. The game delivers a thrilling, rollercoaster-like experience as you progress through the story. The graphics remain largely unchanged, a stylistic choice I appreciate. The pixelated retro style is amazing, and I adore it. The VHS tape mechanic is particularly cool, especially the process of piecing together the timeline by uncovering new chapters. The difficulty has increased, with larger rooms, smarter AI, and challenging mechanics involving fat guys and dogs (hard mode was incredibly difficult!). The game directly confronts the brutality that many other games try to avoid, and it does so cleverly. It profesionally showcases the consequences of bad actions, highlighting the game world being pretty much f**ked up. The music is perfectly suited to the game's atmosphere, keeping me motivated throughout. I LOVE HOTLINE MIAMI 2's SOUNDTRACK! The game might have some flaws but i dont really care about it that much. THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS THE FUN. Shout-out to Richter he is my favorite character.
