I am head-over-heels in love with this game. When they first announced it I saw one clip and immediately knew I had to play this game. Instant wishlist, and after a good long wait, it came out. Totally worth the wait. I was almost in tears like 10 ten times playing this, sometimes just because of the story, other times because I can't believe this game exists.
That said, it was not all candy and roses playing. I experienced a few bugs, for example Seamus stared at the clock clue until I reset the level about ten minutes later. I got stuck a couple times while rushing, though i was able to get out after pressing all the buttons. A very spooky thing that happened was in the slums outside of Seamus' house. The clothes of the robot walking around were kind of stuck in the air. Given his outfit choice, i was unsettled. This did not impact the actual game, but it did still happen.
Of course I want to talk about the visuals; it was gorgeous, wonderful, good job i loved it. I have to be honest sometimes the difference in quality between the cat and the robots sometimes bothered me. I know they are made of completely different structures and materials(cats have fur, robots not so much), there was just a sort spiky frame around him and sometime not. This could just be a lighting thing, I'm not sure. I liked the little details, like walking in paint. Cat animations were amazing too, I hope the team who worked on this got to play with cats as part of the job. Oh, and the zurks? terrifying i thought they were just like adorable little crabs and then i was like nope and then i got further in the game and it got, like its supposed to be, horrifying. Very grossed out 10/10
Story was great, I'm a sucker for robots with human emotions/connections like this and obviously adding a cat to the mix only feels better. There were a couple things I didn't quite get/understand, but I think that's more of a me not paying enough attention problem. The game moves quite fast, in progression, but it still fits rather comfy narrative-wise.
Some smaller things I just wanted to bring up:
- button collecting (amazing)
- there are a lot of cutscenes (i don't know if that was intentional or what)
- achievements are good and relatively easy to get
- drinking water feature is very cute
- i really wanted to wear that poncho :(
- loved antvillage (dream house right there)
- i love the prize when i got it i screamed (in joy)

this review may have been biased as i'm incredibly attached to both every cat I've ever seen and anything/everything cyberpunk/dystopian.

TLDR: Game good, cat, worth it
