It's a real bummer that the man behind one of the most complex game series ever to understand and play gave us something mind-numbingly simple. No stealth, only walking, no real failing. Bosses? Don't worry about conserving and finding ammo and weapons, cause NPCs based on the player network will give them to you. Bike running out of battery? Just drive it on the rechargeable fast track freeway. Mountain too high? Most likely, a ski lift is nearby. Ideas of story are jumbled ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but its excusable because it is Kojima. Only one fight feels hard and like a Metal Gear/Kojima game.

The gigachads at ID Software have done it again. Not once, not twice, but three times in a row, Hugo Martin and the gang have given us a game that expands upon the DOOM franchise differently from its predecessors and innovates in every way, from the art style to the gameplay to the music. Everything is different yet still fits perfectly into the modern Doom mythos that was established 10 years ago with DOOM 2016.

In an industry so overrun with unnecessary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and somewhat seemingly void of real passion, iD Soft continues to give gamers what they actually want: fun, badass games just like the greats of the 90's and 2000s triple A blockbusters, without political and social idealogoy being shoehorned in for the "appeal of a wider audience" and "share holder interest". They have taken the elements of the original DOOM games that made them great and brought them into the modern age, while leaving modern age game politics out of it.

They didn't make Doomguy gay to appeal to a certain demographic, or shoehorn in any pro LGBT or Trans rhetoric just because it's the hot thing to do now and every big developer is pandering to avoid being called either racist or homophobic or to increase their profit share. And why should they? This game takes place in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MIDDLE AGES OF SPACE essentially. It would feel out of place. Plus, doesn't add to the simple story in play: Doomguy is essentially the equivalent of Thanos or Superman in this universe, a living breathing superweapon, used by the Argent Gods, the Maykers, to do their bidding and manipulated in his never ending quest to rip and tear Hell's armies apart due to the death of his family and pet rabbit at their hands. Yeah, some other ♥♥♥♥ happens, and it's metal as ♥♥♥♥, but them's the bones right'chere.

Oh, and about that ripping and tearing: no more chainsaw. You get a shield, WITH A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHAINSAW BLADE. YOU CAN THROW THAT ♥♥♥♥♥ AT DEMONS LIKE YOU ARE A LESS GAY VERSION OF CAPTAIN AMERICA. And this shield serves as the basis at the core of the new game mechanic. You are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tank of a man pushing through the front lines blocking enemy fire and parrying attacks instead of dodging. Think what Sekiro did with the Souls series. And it works. You also get a whole aresenal of metal as ♥♥♥♥ guns, a mech, and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dragon with 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gatling guns on its back. You ♥♥♥♥ your pants yet? I damn near did when I found all this out.

How does it play? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. Flawless. I still do not know if I prefer this or Eternal in terms of gameplay. I want to say Eternal but this is grabbing that Doomslayer by the ankles while he tries to jump away.

Cons: Not enough dragon or mech levels. Eh not a huge deal. No crucible blade. Not a huge deal but a little bit more of a big deal. Idk i love the ♥♥♥♥ out of that thing and I feel it would fit in right at home. Also BFG weapon had cooler designs in production, and I did not find myself using it as much as the super weapons in the other game. That being said, literally knocks like .1 off of a perfect 10, but gets that .1 back for not bending the knee to the woke mind virus, which I did have my worries on considering Michaelsoft now owns iD Software, and seeing what happened to Halo, I had genuine and valid reasons to worry.

Don't be a little ♥♥♥♥♥. Buy this game, and crank up the difficulty.

Big Robots. Big Guns. Big Explosions.
Every kill makes you feel like you got a big ♥♥♥♥, and I love it.

When this game works it is fun. But holy ♥♥♥♥ does it rarely work. Activision Blizzard seriously needs to stop half assing games and make them stable and finished before they release a product. First Overwatch 2 and now this. They keep ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up big time, and it is both infuriating and sad.

Game is too hard in the most uncheap of ways, doesn't feel balanced. I respect this game for the legacy it created but kind of ♥♥♥♥ this game tbh.

Never thought I would experience the same feelings I would from playing Halo 3 back in the day with my friends, but this game brings that feeling back in such an intensity. The nostalgia feels so good, the combat amazing. They nailed the multiplayer.

Hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yes i recommend this game, the gameplay make my ♥♥♥♥ harder than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ diamond. You feel like a badass playing this. I mean, this is the offspring of the grandaddy of all FPS games, and it innovates and takes it to the next level, taking the throne as the best FPS game around today. The gameplay is very much a blend of chess on meth and smooth fps controls. It is a literal speed trip on gun slinging action. The meatball character is also the most fun to engage. Easy 10/10, and easily the most replayable FPS game available. The difficulty will keep you coming back for more.

Good and scary horror game. The kind you hate playing sometime cause of how spooky it is but you hate urself and get some sick pleasure from the scare. That last boss fight is kind of gay though.

This game is hard. Like harder than Charlie Sheen gets on a cocaine filled spree of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hookers. Harder than Alex Jones gets when he catches whiff of a fresh conspiracy . JUST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HARD. But you feel like a badass every time you beat a boss, because that boss will most likely have pushed your ♥♥♥♥ in more times than countable before you conquer them. Gameplay is more streamlined than Souls games, and the lack of character and inventory customization plays out much better, giving you an extremely limited amount of tools to come up with clever solutions to. 10/10
