I have Post Persona Depression.

Pros:
Great battle system.
Great music.
Beautiful tilesets, overworld and character portraits.

Cons:
Hideous character models.

It might sound petty but I cannot continue playing this because I am so distracted by the Adventure Quest looking models.
Every other part of this game is a slam dunk for me and I'm happy to give this dev team my money but seeing these horrendous models flop around on beautiful painterly backdrops is too jarring for me.

Here's to hoping steam workshop support comes soon and someone makes a model pack.

Hyper Light Drifter is beautiful.
Mind blowingly beautiful, both visually and sonically.
Let’s start with the visuals.
This is the best pixel art I have ever seen in my life.
Every facet of this game gushes style, it’s been crafted with so much love.
Like I can't overstate that, this is easily the prettiest game I've seen in years.

The soundtrack is amazing too.
Every time I’d get to a new area and think “wow this looks really cool” the sound would kick in and floor me. The sound wasn’t just limited to specific events either. I found myself repeatedly idly exploring and realizing how subtly the sound was pulling me into the world.

I could go on but rather than be like the endless flow of long winded steam reviews I’ll say this.
This game is amazing. If you like exploratory dungeon crawlers like Zelda and you like hard games where learning patterns and skillfully fighting matters, like darksouls, this game is for you.
For me, as of the time of writing this, this is the game of the year.

Easiest 10/10 in ages.
