I don't usually write reviews, but I found out yesterday (on release) that I've had Unpacking at the top of my wishlist for 2(!) years! In these two years, people have come and go, and I've probably changed a lot, too: but my excitement for this game to (finally) come out has still remained the same.

It's bizarre how a story can be conveyed with little-to-no words, and how every thing you pull out of the box tells you a new detail about the protagonist. One of the things I noticed that I loved was the cork board when you move back into your childhood room; the push-pin in the former significant other's face (though I ended up putting the picture into the cupboard, away from sight). I also loved arranging the stuffed toys- the chickens, especially, when I pulled out the cool sunglasses-wearing chick I actually laughed out loud.

I have been talking about this game on and off for 2 years, and I'm so glad that I finally get to play and experience it. Will definitely come back to it another time to get all the stickers I didn't manage to get! Thank you for making such a wonderful game. <3

Early Access Review
Wow.

I haven't written a review for a game in a good damn while but I just had to do it. Rhythm Doctor is so nuts. It's so crazy good I couldn't bring myself to finish what's available in one day because lord I want to drag out this experience for as long as possible. It's amazing. It really is.

Flash warning aside, the visuals/graphics in this game is so good. Like SO good. Especially for one that is basically just pixel art. I think I stared at the background for a longer amount of time compared to, you know, the cardiogram. I'm sorry the leaky faucet in the coffee shop is so satisfying.

The gameplay is so simple you literally only need one button! (unless you needed to fix your offset mid-game like me, because I am stupid, in which case you would probably need some arrow buttons and ESC) Despite this, it's still compelling and it keeps it interesting throughout. Especially the 2nd boss fight. Holy cow. I had my camera on in Discord in the background and all you could see was my face full of awe at what was happening on screen. It was actually crazy and it gave me so much serotonin at once I feel like I'm on Cloud 9. This is not an exaggeration. I was grinning ear to ear.

This game is so good, y'all. Please get it. Support the devs because they're amazing too.

(Also I love that the counting is in Chinese. Makes me feel good for doing all my numbers in Chinese too)

With how beautiful it is, I'm surprised the game is free. The soundtrack is also very nice. Satisfying to play through even though it's a pretty short game.

the unique artstyle may look headache-inducing at some parts, but overall it looks quite good.
the puzzles are interesting and though 25 stages might be too much and a bit too tedious, it's great.

i got stuck at certain points and there were 0 hints or walkthroughs to look at so it was nice taking some time to figure them out. i didn't figure out the language but i learned the numbers. it's also good that the game's free, playing it to pass the time is pretty sweet.
