HOW IS THIS GAME FREE????

This is the most beautiful visual novel-type of game I've ever tried and I am all about slow burn affection/romance as well as deep friendship. I highly recommend everyone to play it, even if you aren't interested in the main lead - Cove, there are many options to play it! I love how the game shows both good moments but also conflicts, that are true to life. People who avoid conflicts or lack some social skills can use this game to build them; there are all kinds of people in the game that you interact with and that helps you to become a stronger person!

I haven't even tried all the options that the game has to offer but I'm positive any type of relationship you build with Cove will make the story/game enjoyable to play. I was already super pleased by the game with the prologue, it's so heartwarming and charming!

Since it's a free game (it's too good to be free fr fr!) I can't really say any cons about it, only some minor misspellings but that's really not a big deal! And if the game wasn't free, I wouldn't be disappointed. You can tell the game developers put so much love and care into it.

I absolutely love how much you can customize yourself in the game and how it also pays attention to the choices you make that impact your ih-game life and interaction with people (they do remember!). And if you're like me who never had a childhood friend, this game gives that feeling of content and of deep friendship. I also enjoy the diversity in the game, having different family dynamics, friendships and people, it felt life-like and relatable! The story-writing is just so good, I love it!

Now last words about the art style, voice acting and soundtrack - they all are amazingly made to fit the style and theme of the game! The voice lines never fail to emphasise the emotions and feelings the characters feel; the art style is pleasing to look at and is comforting, as well as the soundtracks gives the right vibe for specific moments - the tunes are not too intense, light yet impactful.

Again, I highly recommend ANYONE to try this game, it's just so immersive and sweet. You could learn so much about yourself, just like I did ❤️

Very wholesome, very cheerful and charming game! Definitely a game to play before or on Halloween!

The potion management is pretty easy but the game can surprise you with sudden events, so I'd highly recommend having at least 1 of each potions always in stock! The interaction with the characters is very fun and quirky, the MC themselves are very goofy, charming and silly, it's so much fun!

Despite its quirkiness and silliness, you do still feel bonded with the characters. The game isn't super romantic and is fairly SFW but nevertheless, very sweet, cheerful and fun romcom-vibish game!

P.S. I haven't touched DLC, only commenting on the main game!

Finally a nice game with African mythology & culture themes!

However, I'll start with one con, which is the controllers. I played with PS5 controller and some moved get glitchy, which can get annoying especially when you do challenges (e.g. oftentimes when you dash it nullifies your special moves, and other way around). The aim-assistance made the game more enjoyable.

Absolutely love love this game, the story is bittersweet and wholesome, and wise, true to life. Reminds me of Ori, which is also my favourite game, so I might be biased but still! The art is unique and vibrant, the story is incredible, I love the characters, their designs and how the journey progresses with them!

The themes are very humane, the grief, the loss, fear, acceptance and love, it's all so well delivered, beautifully so. And how gender equal the game is, really love that! It's refreshing to see more of that: here the Sun is related to female and the Moon to male (usually you see the opposite), as well as how women can be adventurous, warriors and/or wanting to see the world aka home sin't always for them.

The game is unique and the story is meaningful, the art (visuals, animation and 3D design) is fantastic and gorgeous, has a character, so I highly recommend to try Tales of Kenzera: ZAU!

One thing I'd appreciate to add to the game is a conversation log, so I can read through it again (I'm a slow reader and listener).

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the soundtracks and sound effects are also very soothing and amazing! Befitting the theme of the game. The OST does incorporate African themes with combat-type music so it's a nice mix! (The OST can be found on Spotify btw!)
