I have played for 12 hours, just killed the second boss, and crafted bronze armor. I burned out after the speed debuff that I got. Although I installed a mod for a better bow, where you can actually use the crosshair and unrestricted portals where you can teleport with ores, I decided not to search for armor fix. I feel like the developers have taken inspiration from old RPG games, which I love, but I cannot forgive those strange gameplay decisions in modern games. It's just not entertaining for me. I have a feeling that the developers do not play their own game. Come on, if you need to spend a couple of hours gathering some ore and bringing it to your base, how is it playable without mods at all? I don't know why this game has so many positive reviews, it's an indie miracle...

Broken matchmaking, low tickrate and unstable servers, broken lobby, battle pass brovides only recolored skins, to earn new character you need to spend ~30 hours. But still the best battle royale game we have, that's sad :(
