Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent is a game that i want to like, but I just can't. The bugs and glitches in this game are abundant and are a glaring problem. Add this with where autosaves and hard saves don't actually save, and you got yourself a piece of crap. I have given this game 7 chances (meaning I have restarted the game because of the issue with saves being deleted) and each time have recieved the same bugs and glitches.

Gameplay

Splinter Cell Double Agent is like every other Splinter Cell game. You stealth your way through each level and complete the set of objectives given to you without raising to much alarm or getting killed. Not to hard right? Well it is when game breaking bugs come into the picture. For example, in one level you are prompted to make mines, but before you start making the mines, you are supposed to listen to 2 people talk. I listened to the people talk, and when I went to make the mines, the mini game to make the mines didn't work properly. However, as little as I played, the game itself was an average stealth game.

Graphics

The games graphics are average in my opinion. They aren't anything spectacular, but I can forgive it for how long ago it came out.

Story

The story is rather mediocre. It's a story that countless spy movies and game have copied and pasted for years now and it's not very creative. In my reviews I don't tell plot summary, so if you want to read the story, look it up or read the description for the game.

Final Scores

Gameplay: 7
Graphics: 6
Story: 4
Overall: 5.7

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favorite games. Through my time playing it, I never got bored and I never felt like I was forcing myself to play through it.

Gameplay
The gameplay is amazing. There is never one way to play through this game. If you are fond of running through each building with guns blazing, than there are weapons just for you and linear paths just for you. If you like to stealth you're way past guards and silently take out enemies, than there is a set of weapons, paths, and skills for that as well. On top of this, there are different ways to get into building and out of buildings, get around guards, and to get past doors. In one place, I remember that you could either break down the wall, go through the front door and secretly sneak into the place, or go the long way around and jump through a window and stealth your way through the level. On top of this is the dialogue tree. In some places, you are able to sweet talk your way past somebody and in others you were able to earn little side quests that may help you in some way. Like I said, this game is superb in the way that it lets you go through the levels and how it lets you play the game. All in all, I would say that you should get this game just for the gameplay itself.

Graphics
The Graphics are decent for the time that it was released. They still hold up to today's standards and, in my opinion, look pretty good.

Story
The story was only interesting enough to keep me interested, in my opinion. I won't tell you the story because like I said before, you should play this game for the gameplay itself.

Rating
Taking everything into consideration, I would give this game a solid 8/10.

Early Access Review
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! i dont have that many hours in the game, but you dont really need any. I bought this game back when it first was released on steam and i was interested to see where this game was gonna go. In the beginning i could forgive the game for having many lag issues, little to do, and very mediocre graphics. However, here we are in 2015 (game was released in late 2013) and I still havent seen any big changes besides many engine changes. The developer hasnt released an update in a while and at this point the game is dead. If you want to buy it so you can laugh at it go ahead, but you'll be giving money to a guy who working very little (if at all) on this game. In my opinion this is just another game that goes on the list of games where people make them just to make a quick buck.
