Ok, after playing 5 hours of Firewatch my first recap (I don't know if 5 hours are very much gameplay time... I get lost.. often.. like A LOT ;))
So after some start problems (I need to use a compass and a map *urgh*) I completely lost myself in the universe of Henry and Deb. In a good sense! The atmosphere, story and great voice acting is all what is needed to make this experience special. Which game actually gives you the urge to pause and to just enjoy the surroundings for a while? Firewatch definitely belongs into this category. But now it's time to shoulder my backpack and hike deeper into the rabit's hole.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is the game we never knew we needed it :P
First time we got in "contact" with this colorful, action-driven game was several month ago in the EMP museum in Seattle, where it is part of an exhibition about indie games.
It is recommended to play with game controllers, and this means you SHOULD!, to get the full potential of this coop space game. After geting in touch with the game again at PAX, it was settled. We need this game in our life!
My husband and me are always on the lookout for real coop fun games and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime definitely belongs into this category. The mix of gameplay, outstanding soundtrack and cute graphics promises gaming fun for hours! The need to coordinate your actions is the real deal to success here and will give you some reasons to argue about. Highly reccommended for couples! :D

Finished the game in Co-Op a few moments ago. Ran a lot, fought against evil and yes, success! But first things first: What a great atmospheric game! Loved the cute graphics and style. Sry Alaska, I´ve always wanted to visit you, but after playing that game... it´s too freezing cold there! ;)
An interesting fact is that the story is based on the traditional lore of the Inupiak people. You´re surrounded by magical spirits (helpful or not) and fantasy creatures. If you like you can get a lot of facts about their culture through the offered video sequences.

But even when there is a lot of light, there must be some shadows... In my opinion the game was too short, we just finished it in around 3 hours and we had to replay some scenes several times ;)
Maybe because of my lack of skills or sometimes because of the lack of smoothness of the controls, who knows? There is definetly room for improvement.
I liked the story but a little bit more content would have been great!

I recommend this game for family gaming in Co-Op mode. The puzzles aren´t too hard to solve, gaming may lead to a better understanding of different cultures and it´s quiet amusing for a short amount of time.

Potential Party Hit - Play it with friends

We just bought it on Steam Sale. It´s definitely worth the money :) You have to keep in mind that it´s still in Alpha, so don´t expect fancy graphics or sth like that. Besides I really like the styles of the dinosaur ;) Fighting with the different characters is real fun for up to 8 local players! Hope the developers will add some Online Multiplayer Mode. We used our PS4 controllers to play. We didn´t find any explanation for the controls (CORRECTION: just press the Tab Button on your keyboard), so you´ll have to figure it out for yourseves or you´ll have a look at this discussion board. There are plenty of threads which can help you becoming a Gang Beast expert!

Played it with my husband and liked the competitive character of this game in different surroundings.

isn´t just as easy to answer ;) A few weeks ago we stumbled across the Steam sale of SpeedRunners. Since then I spent some time improving my racing skills on that game (sharp tongues assert that there is no improvement ;-) ) Tzzz! Ok, the game is really hard to play against opponents online within the league sytem.

But I would highly reccomend it playing against friends and family. A few days ago I had a close race against my husband. If you´re interested watch the video below. Sorry, it is in German but it has English subtitles.

Anyway, it´s a good way to see the variety of maps, weapons, traps and gameplay if you´re deciding whether to buy it or not. There are also a lot of custom maps avalaible. It seems like there is a highly active community. Definitely a game to keep in mind! See you there!
