All of the Halo games developed by Bungie are amazing classics. Halo 4 and 5 are not amazing, but they are mediocre video games in general while being bad Halo games compared to the previous ones. With that said, this is a must-have collection of games well worth its value in cost. One of the best games ever if you consider all of them together in the package as one game. It is a blessing to have these preserved on PC with great mod support.

I think generally people are happy with the other games already in MCC on Xbox One. Halo 3 does have sound issues I believe similar to Reach with guns not sounding as high quality as the original. The only thing they can really screw up is online playlists, which I am sure they are nowhere near as good as they could be. I am not happy with Reach's playlists at this time. Doesn't feel like there is enough variety and 343 likes to swap things in and out. I would rather have everything available at all times and an option to veto at least.

what i most worried about is if they changed and fucked up reach (admittedly one of the most community splitting games) i'm scared how they will manage to fuck up 1-3. cuz i fully expect them to fuck it up if they don't listen to the community. but it looks like they are based on infinity so i'm just here unsure how its all gonna go. a bumpy ride for sure but since its halo its one i will see to the bitter end. if only out of my sick curiousity

@phantasm my understanding is they changed the 360 one to this garbage a year ago. however the original release had vastly different spawn system in place. mainly yous pawned at random points on the map and not always on an ally. specially not one in mid combat. the original game modes played way better in terms of spawning. i will admit i actually like a lot of the TU changes other than the spawning. as for their "custom" maps yeah ill pass. also i haven't played boneyard yet. i cant believe they would split it in half for big team. that's so bad. although it makes sense. i took a look at forge mode and you can see the spawners. they just didn't remove the one way doors from invasion. That's probably what is causing the split. aka they just lazy i guess.

Its all good. I re-wrote my review since I have had a week to play the game now. I admit I am very picky, especially because there are just too many games to play. I am not a fan of anything 343 has done yet, except their forge improvements. I don't like anything about their art style. I don't even like the menus they make for the games. The MCC menu is horrible and unintuitive, and it is just a pain in the ass when it doesn't have to be. It doesn't look good either. I know it sounds like I am just a 343 hater, but that isn't it at all. I generally just don't agree with any of their decisions when I play their games.

I see your reasoning, and yeah it's true I would rather play a game I like then powering through a game I dislike. I was a bit harsh in my reply review and I apologize, I am the Grinch after all. I wish you would have said that in the review that compared to the others they were inferior. We both have different opinions, I actually like Halo 4 and Halo 5 so I would have no trouble playing them over again and I have already done so. But I recognize if you don't feel the same.

@Mr. Grinch - I didn't say Halo 4 and 5 were terrible games, but they are terrible Halo games when you compare them to the previous titles. I am not such a big Halo fan that I will play anything with the word Halo in the title. You may call it nitpicking, but my time is valuable and I would rather play games that I love instead of playing games that I don't care about just to kill time. There are countless other games that are better that I would rather play than Halo 4 and 5. I also already played Halo 4, so there is no reason for me to even re-play it. It is not some timeless game that you play for years. It is more like something you beat once and never touch again.

@Zethanox - Yeah they really need to vastly improve the matchmaking playlists, map pool, and gametype pool. I doubt they changed much in terms of spawning from the Xbox 360 version, except for their curated Forge maps or maps that they altered. The worst thing I have seen so far is how they blocked off half of the map for Big Team Battle on Boneyard.

have you played any of the TU multiplayer yet? they completely overhauled the classic modes. and they made them worse. a lot of the changes were pretty good. but they make it so you only spawn on allies. which leads to TONS of spawn killing. i tried to hit a car with my car. i missed. as i passed him 4 of his team spawned in right behind him. I killed all 4 without even realizing they were there

I would recommend Halo 4 and Halo 5, for the full experience. Say what you will about those two, they are not terrible games, and in my opinion I like Halo 5 more of the two. Do they have issues? Yes they do, but at the end of the day it's Halo, and if anyone is a real Halo fan they would be playing every game, not simply nitpicking which they like and telling others to do the same.
