This game is 5 years old and is still ultra unfinished.

For reference, the last update was almost 9 months ago.

I was waiting for it to be complete before playing, didn't realize that would mean 2-3 more years and it would still be unfinished.

Pretty terrible dev communication.

It looks amazing and the idea is cool but even the visuals it does have do not justify how absolutely terrible the performance is.

The recommended GPU being a $1200 3080-Ti is a joke.

Even beyond that, the game is poorly fleshed out in its current state, has no actual tutorial to explain anything, and seems poorly thought out.

I have no idea why the developers are trying to rush out a dozen areas immediately instead of making sure the immediate on-boarding experience is solid and working up from the there, the core of the game is not implemented properly. I'd rather one area and a fully built out gameplay experience than what is available right now.

This is probably worth looking at again in like 6-12 months.

The final product is not representative of the obnoxious amount of time they spent working on this. Very little game in this "game".

This game just sucks. It's art style makes it near impossible to figure out what you are supposed to interact with at many points. There is no objective marker, no indication of where you are supposed to go at any point, and on top of that this game has no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map to refer to. So you constantly get lost, walk in circles, and can be so lost that you don't even know what to google to find out where you are supposed to go.

When you get upgrades, it tells you what the upgrade is on screen for 5 seconds and then that's it, there is no menu to see what upgrades you have collected or just collected. Many times I was distracted and missed completely what upgrade I just got was.

There is no creative use of being a horror monster, they don't set up the humans in classic horror movie situations, its just a bland ass grind for an ending that's meaningless and completely unsatisfying. The game does nothing interesting or unique with its gameplay.

This game was beyond underwhelming from what I was expecting, I can't understand how basic mechanics like an upgrade menu and a map are missing. This is poorly made, uncreative and just a straight up bad game that's not even worth playing if it was free.

I don't know man, he went outside quite a bit.

The story and presentation of ELEX out of the gate is so bad that it makes Andromeda look like a AAA game. The graphics are all over the place, the audio sounds so janky, the VA is terrible. I can't fathom how THQ was convinced to publish this, let alone charge $50 for it.
