Of course this game is good and I'd love to see more game creators to pick up that genre and make games of their own.

Question however is: Is it ok to take basically everything from another game that made it a breakthrough (not just the concept but make a blatant copy of it) and just reskin it? Is that really enough for a game creator to claim to "have made a game"?

Well, the game's early access. So maybe we'll see something else from them added to the game aside from updated graphics and a anime / hentai touch.
Don't know if I should hope for it tough ...

Why is there no "mobile-port" tag?
Plays and feels like one. At least they changed the tutorial / instructions to match playing on a PC.

The resource management means the dice which you get from rolling your councillors dice - usually for the area / color they're strong in. So you get some dice per turn and barely manage to get enough dice of a specific color for the next ?random? event popping up. Then you wait for a story event happening and repeat ...
Oh, and you get items ... brutally interresting ones giving +x to a color for your councillors.
... and you can reroll ... sometimes ...

Not really getting anything out of this game, sorry ...

One of the better simulation / crafting / harvesting games. I've sunk a few hours into that one and reached a point, where continuing istn't that much fun any more.
Understand me, I'm really into new mechanics, unlocking new stuff, discovering and so on but in most of those endless games (like Stardew and this one) at some point you the new stuff becomes pretty rare and the grind (for social points, for things you missed in an achivement) becomes real.

I'd prefer if those games just somehow reach an end ... that's something I love Graveyard Keeper for!

Anyway, there are a lot of things "My time at Portia" does really well:
* Fokus on production rather than harvest
* Assembly system - using crafted components instead of raw material
* Interesting storylines unlocking new blueprints, recepies, characters or areas
* First new areas evolve pretty well
* Mining dungeons and fighting dungeons

Things MTaP could do better:
* Any form of End (probably it has one and I just haven't found it)
* Later areas could use some polish / better use
