game is not fun without friends, in singleplayer the enemies swarm you extremely aggressivly making solo play too difficult to enjoy. don't bother unless your friends are willing to buy the game too.

I bought the steam controller when it was like 5 bucks last christmas. The D-pad sucks if your used to normal buttons, and for Dark Souls it would often select two d-pad directions at once. The D-pad is a lot better if you make it so that you need to push down the entire button side to activate. The touch pads work great, and the buttons are fine.

the steam controller has excellent adaptability; you could probably make it play any game you can think of. Also it has two bindable buttons on the back of the controller that are amazing for games that require you to push the x,y,a,b buttons.
would recommend if on sale.

The ultimate multiplayer videogame. Endless entertainment and limitless possibilities. Essentially a deathmatch game with limitless modification potential.

Early Access Review
i bought this game 6 years ago and it still plays like janky garbage. maybe if the developers focused on making the game complete instead of revamping their idiotic RPG player stat system every new build, they would have something better than an asset flip.

a shallow, boring, and pointless experience. it wasn't worth the price i paid 5 years ago, let alone whatever amount it is now.

Edit: an Update made this game significantly better, the added quests and new skill tree makes quest interaction more rewarding than grinding which is cool by me.

a re-implementation of Places of Interest (premade structures with questing capability, think Dungeons) makes for much more engaging gameplay than bumbling around in the old sandbox collecting trash.

I recommend it now. though its still boring if you don't have friends.
