Kind Words is exactly as advertised. It's a lovely community and it feels good to help folks.

We had a great time. The puzzles are tricky and very satisfying to solve!

I really enjoyed Hack 'n' Slash. Some of the puzzles are quite difficult, but it feels really good to solve them! Just don't accidentally break the game like I did... 😅 (And remember, if you DO break the game like I did, you can always go back in time to before you ruined everything! I need one of those amulets in real life!!)

This game is just so lovely. Very pure, sweet, complex, and meditative. I first received it from a friend, and worried after a short time that I wasn't playing it correctly, but I'm slowly realising after more time than I care to admit that the game is what you make of it, and there's no reason to stress out about the bits of the game you're not fantastic at. It's absolutely worth a try, and multiplayer mode is a wonderful way to have a relaxing conversation with friends. I would like the option of voice support for co-op mode, as we typically just have a voice call going on in the background anyway.

I know I'm late to the party, but I just got a computer good enough to handle Firewatch and I was so keen to play it!

Firewatch is a very atmospheric walking simulator. The story is excellent, the voice acting is genuinely very good, the chemistry between the characters is fun to navigate, and the graphics hit that lovely sweet spot between stylised and immersive. Even though the area seems overwhelmingly large and unnavigable at first, you eventually get really good at reading a map and compass (you can toggle the "show current location on map" option off if you're feeling brave!) I think normally a space like this would be quite relaxing, if it weren't for the eerie "is someone following me" feeling I started getting after the first day. But luckily for us, if wandering is your bag, the game has an option to just explore the park, and another that includes audio commentary from the developers. Normally I wouldn't really mess around in a game that I've already played, but I look forward to exploring the thoughtfully constructed park on my own without worrying about whether someone's behind me!

So I accidentally had this running in the background on my computer for a few days. I have *not* played this game for 46 hours, haha!!

It's a cute idea, and I don't think it's meant to be a game so much as a clicky commentary on capitalism. If you're really big into alliteration, go for it. It's kinda cute, and the first half hour is a delight. And then you understand what the game is trying to say, and... Well yeah, it's just that.

I recommend it for the first 20-30 minutes. :)
