I started Infinity Nikki on my PS5 not long ago, and I absolutely loved it at first. Obviously, I switched to Steam once it arrived. A friend recommended it, and I quickly got hooked - not by the gacha, but by the game itself. Dressing Nikki felt like playing with a ball-jointed doll I always wished I had. I loved changing her look, exploring, collecting materials, crafting outfits, and getting into the story. It was genuinely fun. I even supported the game with small purchases because, unlike many others, the prices felt fair.

When the 1.5 update was announced, I was excited. The new features looked promising and made me love the game even more - until the update actually dropped.

Now? The game feels unplayable, rushed, and boring. Many of the new changes are confusing or just bad. It hurts to see Infold ignore player feedback and try to silence complaints with a few free pulls and some diamonds. I regret spending money on a game that now feels like it doesn’t care about its players.

The worst part is how disconnected the developers seem from their audience. Most of us are teens or adults. Just because the game is colorful and filled with pretty dresses doesn't mean we're children who can be ignored. Treat us with respect.

Sadly, Infinity Nikki now feels like just another predatory gacha game that feeds on gambling habits. If you’re going to ask people for real money, at least deliver something that’s worth it. Right now, it’s not.

This game surprised me in the best way. The graphics are super simple, but that’s part of the charm – the goofy-looking characters and the hand-crafted style make it stand out from the sea of simulator games that all kind of look the same (you know the ones). It’s clear the dev has their own thing going on, and I really respect that.

Gameplay-wise, yeah, it can get repetitive, but there’s a weirdly satisfying loop to it. Managing your own properties, mixing up signature goods with custom or randomly generated names (some of which made me laugh) keeps it feeling fresh enough. It's got that creative touch that gives it more personality than you'd expect from a sim.

That said, I’d love to see some quality-of-life updates. A bit more variety, maybe more customization options for properties, and definitely an expanded map wouldn’t hurt. Give me more space to build my weird little empire.

Multiplayer shows promise – I tested it with boyfriend and it kind of worked. But there were a few bugs that made things tricky: paying debt didn’t really show up for me as player two, some orders bugged out, and a few objects got stuck (like tables or not disappearing plants that were trimmed). Restarting the lobby fixed it, but you know, not ideal.

Overall though? I’m into it. The game has its quirks, but also a lot of heart. Looking forward to future updates!
