Early Access Review
One of the greatest FPS games I've played, period. The movement and gunplay are supremely fluid, the weapons feel great to use, and the progression of the game's (as yet incomplete) narrative eases you into the mechanics in an organic and digestible fashion. I went from 'alright, I've always wanted to play this' to P-ranking everything but the infamous P-2 level/boss on Standard difficulty, and I'm well on my way to doing the same on Violent difficulty.

If you're afraid this game's too tough-as-nails for you, don't be. There's a ton of accessibility settings you can use to ease yourself into the game and lower difficulties available. Don't be too tempted to go straight for them, as I'd recommend (as the game does) starting on Standard to get a feel for the game as it is. It's a challenge, but the game eased me in just right; perhaps it'll do the same for you, if you're interested.

ULTRAKILL isn't lacking in substance either. Beyond the utterly supreme gunplay and movement mechanics, ULTRAKILL is, in my mind, the single most metal video game that's ever been made. DOOM is metal, yes, but it's got nothing on this. I'll let prospective players see what I mean for themselves, but the tagline says it all: MANKIND IS DEAD. BLOOD IS FUEL. HELL IS FULL.

Genuine masterwork. Can't wait for the upcoming layers, and *especially* P-3.

This is the most violent game I've ever played.

10/10, Therapy Game Of The Year.

You can make a hodgepodge rustbucket of parts and still get it to space. This game is faithful to reality in its physics but when an element of physics isn't fun it's just removed in-game - the perfect balance of realism and fun!

There isn't much to be said about this game that hasn't been said before.
- Tight controls!
- Gameplay is great!
- Graphical style brings back the old!
- No matter how much you die, the phrase told to you afters motivates you- addicting, in a way!

I don't have any gripes with this game, no matter how many times I've perished. It's mostly just me being bad at run n' gun games, but I'll get used to it!
Heavily recommended for fans of games like Contra and Metal Slug- but not recommended for game journalists, or those who hate games which actually challenge its players.

To people who think that the controls are horrid:
... yeah, I'd be inclined to agree, if it weren't for the fact that you can actually change the controls. Also, there's sourceports for the DOOM engine, which come with new settings and the ability to run complex WADs like Brutal Doom or Russian Overkill.

Also, did I mention this game's super addictive? That ain't even a bad thing, because this game is also super fun. You run fast, the action's fast-paced (especially when you run it with a sourceport like ZDoom, Zandronum or EDGE) and the weapons are hella satisfying to maim imps with.

Nothing can match the satisfaction of killing a Cacodemon with the Super Shotgun, not even the Doom 4 of today from what I've seen. The normal Shotgun's also fun, being the more reliable option for ammo conservation over longer ranges against stronger opponents. The Plasma Rifle's one of the best weapons to deal with the tougher Demonfolk, like Cyberdemons or Hell's Knights-- among the Rocket Launcher and the BFG9000. The Pistol is the weapon you start out with, and it isn't bad if you don't have other weapons. Better than nothing, and that nothing being your fists.

Also, did I mention the BFG9000's called the Big ♥♥♥♥♥♥' Gun? If that isn't a selling point to you, I don't know what is.

You can play as a goat. Not only that, but a Satan goat. Not only that, but a Satan goat from Heaven. Not only that, but a Satan goat from Heaven who has the model of a penguin. Not only that, but a Satan goat from Heaven who has the model of a Penguin while also having the model of a walking microwave.

Help. This game's beautiful. Too beautiful for mortal eyes.

This game's an old game, and its 'spiritual successor' Sims 4 has already come out (which is actually pretty bad- stripped some of the features from the game before it.) and that means this review is really late.

♥♥♥♥. The point. Where is it?
Oh, there it is.

This game is glitchy. That's my point. It's not necessarily a bad thing. This game's glitchiness can lead to a whole nother level of stupidity and outright hilarity, or a whole nother level of absolute horror. The latter... just look at a glitch where Sim babies stretch their limbs and their body fits to an adult Sim's skeleton.

♥♥♥♥♥♥' scary.
10/10, would get spooked again.

This game, as with the last game, is simple but effective. It doesn't just go for tension and then the big release when the jumpscare happens, it goes for frustration and pressure too. Reason? The Puppet. That isn't a particularly bad thing, and in fact I think it makes the jumpscares that follow more effective due to the game forcing you to either put the mask on if an animatronic is in the room OR wind up The Puppet's music box. Can't do both. It leaves you with a bit of helplessness, even more so than in the first game. It's a step up both in execution and difficulty from the first game- play it if you want a challenge.

8/10

While I don't think this game is particularly scary, it has made me jump a fair few times. The way Scott does it is, while common, very effective. Tension building up until the final moment where, for example Chica pops up in your face, eating at your face-meat. Maybe not that last bit, but you get the point. Simple yet effective is the way I'll describe this game, and I'll recommend it to anybody who's a fan of jumpscares. Don't look anywhere near the community though. Just no.

7/10, simple but effective.

Yeah, this review's a little late. True. But anyways, this game is... undescribably different. Unlike most RPGs, where you have to kill your enemy or run away, you can spare them too. That would've got me from the start if it wasn't for the fact that you can date a skeleton, you can play with a beastly dog amalgamation thing (which, to be honest, is ADORABLE) and have a bad time of the highest degree. Multiple times. Also, the dialogue is comparable to Earthbound, which Undertale was likely based partly off of (what am I saying, yeah it was!). Bottom line, this game's different, and I like that. Its only bad thing is the fact Hard Mode isn't done.

9/10 'no complete hard mode'
