This launch is rough. It's buggy and while most of the content is fine, there are decisions being made here that make me think gearbox just doesn't "get" risk of rain 2 (what do you mean you added an elite enemy type with damage reflect? That type of enemy doesn't work here because I can't control where my ATG missiles go. I can't choose when my Uke procs. AOE items just mean death now if the run goes late enough.)

It's a shame the code is so messed up, this means modders are going to have an even harder time fixing this mess. I'll update the review if they fix this but until then, stay away. If you like risky and still play it, turn off steam updates if you still have an old version because this ones just not good.

Edit: They walked back the battle pass changes. I'm gonna change the review to positive but leave it as is, just so they don't try any funny business again.

Do I like the game? Yes! I like it a lot! Great movement system, guns feel good to use, lots of unique characters with fun abilities!

Do I think they should suffer for the battle pass change? Also yes! Your player count is slowly sliding away and you're trying to make up the difference by draining money from your existing players, classic EA! I'd be happy to take this down if they change their mind but wow guys, this doesn't look great.

Seriously, Respawn is the one thing giving EA any good will as a publisher and they're gonna ruin that too.

pros: plays great, has a wonderful art style and fantastic soundtrack

cons: I'm a laust main and want to end it all after every session as a result

Re-lit that FGC spark that street fighter 5 left me missing.
