I've been playing this game on and off since W3 or W4 almost for a decade already.

It is a good game for acoustics like me.

It is basically a "souls-like" version of Farmville.

I did BG1 two times and BG2 more time than I could remember including ToB.

I am waiting for BG3 to be fixed and complete to do a "clean" walkthrough.

UI is terrible.

Muliplayer is basically dead. There're about 200-300 people playing it online at prime time. Multiplayer modes aren't very thought through. "Customization" shop is empty.

Waste of money. Terrible. Just terrible.

In COOP we:
- savescum;
- attempt theft;
- loot everything while party leader talks to NPCs;

9/10 got electrocuted standing in a pool of blood of a giant crocodile.

TL;DR False advertisement. There were no Disco music in it at all.

At first the game made me think that it is a simple adventure game.
Then it laughed at me and at all kinds of my views.
Then it laughed at everything else.
Lots of sarcastic remarks and irony.
Then I realized how many layers the game actually has.
And then... it was over.

Setting is mezmerizing. World is interesting and constructed thoroughly enough.
You can get carried away trying to explore it all.

I feel like I didn't really get what it actually was about. Main quest ended abruptly and its ending kind of felt rushed.

Finally we have the game the way it was meant to be.

Recent update brought back teamplay.

It is sad that Steam reviews only has two options "to recommend" and "not to recommend". Lots of games, some of which are somewhat good, lay somewhere in between of this two in my opinion.

Does nostalgia makes everything better? Not really, some things can't be fixed with its magical powers.

The game "Syberia" isn't bad really, but it isn't good either. Gameplaywise it has lots of not so obvious pixel hunting which sometimes have to be performed just out of random. It has some crazy moon logic puzzles and some other puzzles are way too dull, like the one with the mechanical band in the institute city.

Storywise it is mediocre. The plot is naive and dull in so many ways. Although the world itself can easily mezmerize you because of its wierd charm. You will have to engage your imagination though, because game actually lacks depth in my opinion.

The game has its style but it aged badly.

6/10

Am I going to play it again? Dunno.

I played 1st one and 2nd back in a days when they came out. I was a teenage boy and wasn't really bothered by a simplicity and naivity, it was a charming story for me. Plus animations and some simple humour.

I couldn't make through 3rd and 4th it was beyond me. This games felt awful. 5th though isn't that bad. It still has cheeky humour which is sometimes beyond good and evil, but hey, this is a pulp fiction based detective adventure game, that is what we came for.

Most of puzzles are logical, there were couple of times when annoying strict step-by-step way of solving puzzles was forced on you, and you couldn't do anything but left to try everything to figure out in what order exactly you have to do it(like the puzzle with indian guy who you need to make to climb the lift supports in the end of the second game). The game has two challenging puzzles, rest of them were easy enough for me to pass through.

However main plot made me cringe a lot. What was supposed to be "Da Vinci Code" became "Mr Bean goes to Church" or smth like that because I read some stuff about the topics of the game and had to choke the laughter every time something stupid came up.

Felt like the ending was dull.

6/10 +4 bonus nostalgia points because the game feels a lot like first two adventures.

Thanks "Revolution Software" team for what you do.
