Dark Souls III is a good "end" to the Souls Series.

Pros:
+ Astonishing level design and world building
+ Good indirect storytelling
+ A good variety of enemies (new and old)
+ The combat system has been optimized for an even more fluent gameplay
+ A soundtrack which adds to the atmosphere of the game perfectly
+ It is way easier to create or join online parties by now, thanks to passwords
+ The boss fights are very memorable
+ A high replayability
+ Tons of weapons and skills to upgrade

Cons:
- The anti cheat system is horrible.
- poise dosnt work right
- lazy fan service, not all the time but enough
