I started playing this game a couple of years ago. Despite this, I've fallen in love with this gem of a Counter-Strike game.
I'm a simple guy with multiplayer games, so CS:GO, while a fun game, sometimes turns me off with the loot boxes and the news feed and a whole lot of stuff I don't care about.

I launch CS:S, and I can jump right into a game. There's really nothing but the game, either. And I couldn't love it more for that. The best multiplayer games will entice and keep people pulled in with the gameplay alone, and CS:S accomplishes that. Plus, starting a bot server and playing by yourself can be fun. And don't forget all the modes like surfing and zombies that are here, too.

It may not be at its prime, but any Counter-Strike fan will definitely get his or her $10 and much more out of this. I recommend this wholeheartedly.

This game is great.

This port is horrendous.

Everything looks the same, but the water is better and the skybox and walls aren't flat textures. But these changes come at the cost of a buggy game with longer load times. Absolutely would not recommend buying standalone. The original is THE way to play, because I consider Black Mesa a remake (also fantastic by the way).

It's GMod. There isn't anything for you to do. That's why you just do it yourself. Download more stuff to play with. Everybody should own this game, it can be near anything you want it to be. There is no "wasted time" or "losing" or "winning" in GMod. Just play for as long as you want, and stop when you don't want to anymore. It'll always be there when you just want to screw around.

This is a great game, tons of fun to be had alone or with buddies.

But oh my GOODNESS they ruined it with this patch.

Invasive eyesore that is two advertisements for BL3 on the main menu that are impossible to dismiss? Check.

Game freezing, making it literally unplayable? Check.

They destroyed this game. I give a fat thumbs up to what this game actually is, but an even bigger thumbs down to Gearbox.

Also while I'm at it, screw you too, Epic Games.

Early Access Review
A really damn fun game, the short review.

The long review, it's a game focused on pacing and sacrifice. As time progresses, difficulty increases. To get items, you must buy them with cash earned. If you rush through to beat the boss of every stage to speedrun, you'll become overwhelmed because you have no items and area low level. If you stay just long enough to have fully scoured the map for every item, you'll have a great inventory and level but so much time will have passed that you'll be in high difficulties in early stages.

Also, trading items in for better (potentially) items is possible, but your sold items are random. Do you want to risk trading in one of the best items in the game for a decent piece of equipment?

This is a rare game that is fun with and without other people. There are many challenges to complete and characters to play as, ranging from an all-rounder wielding dual pistols to a plant fused to a walking robot. By playing over and over, you'll become accustomed to the way the game is meant to be played, and you will do better every run.

It's a game for people who love a good challenge. If you want a relaxing and easy game, don't bother. If you (and maybe your friends) want a roguelike experience that goes from 1 to 60 in a matter of 15 minutes, from simple cash farming and item collecting to balls-to-the-wall action at breakneck speed against enemies with godly strength, this is your game.

Let me introduce myself as a newcomer to the Souls series. I've seen it, read about it and watched videos, but Dark Souls: Remastered is my first Souls experience. I'm going to say this: DSR is a great game if you're looking for a challenging and punishing but fair game. Most of the time I die, I either got cocky, tried a weird stunt, or just couldn't predict a boss' attack.

Let me say there is no shame in using Solaire to assist you against Ornstein and Smough. Sun bro is a godsend.

In terms of how much you'll be sucked into this game? At this time of writing this review it has been 11 days since I have bought the game, and I have clocked 71 hours. I play this game like a madman and this game plays me. It's fun, intriguing, and most of all, if you're good enough at the game, gear choice shouldn't matter too much and you can just use what looks best. I'm not amazing at all, not even that good. However, I use only the Elite Knight set because it looks great.

All in all, DSR is a great game for your money. I've heard that it isn't worthwhile to buy if you already own the original, but hey, that's what someone else said, and I'm repeating it. I greatly recommend this to someone who wants an adventure filled with interesting NPCs, insanely good map design, and most importantly, a fantastic challenge to make you sweat but not smash your rig.

As for specs last of all, don't worry. I first played this on my HP laptop and it never dropped under 40 FPS.

Did you enjoy DDLC?

Do you want more from Team Salvato?

If you answered yes to either question, buy this!

You get a great soundtrack, mostly instrumental. Two sides. A Side is straight from the game and two bonuses, B Side having extra tracks such as the trailer theme and early themes.
You ALSO get a digital booklet documenting how the game was made AND wallpapers! Yes, you heard that right. The Dokis you love more than life and the suffering it brings can now decorate your desktop!

In this pack:
24 track OST
Digital Booklet
Desktop & Mobile Wallpapers

If you have $10 and any sort of conscience, pounce on this pack and enjoy!

WARNING: Digital booklet contains game spoilers. I recommend you finish the game before purchase OR before reading digital booklet. You have been warned.
