I'm generally super-picky on JRPG's, both on gameplay and story-telling perspectives, but ASTLIBRA is simply fantastic.

As a forewarning to folks considering this game, the first hour (or so) of gameplay is super slow, and mostly cinematic - trust, and tough it out. It gets way-way-way better!

pros: you're now green Spiderman, swinging around & dominating lesser species like aliens (instead of New Yorkers)
cons: youre still playing Destiny 2, your wife is leaving you, and shes taking the kids

11/10 absolutely amazing

One of the best singleplayers I've had the fortune of playing. Everything about this game is incredible.

Pros:
[+] Favorite aspect: Music, music, music
Each area you wander into has a beautifully captivating soundtrack to it. It's difficult to describe even.
[+] Background & atmosphere
See above, but with scenery, enemies, and level design
[+] Unaggressive lore
You don't have to be spoonfed the lore like most adventure games. It feels optional, but the lore is still weird/unsettling enough to get you interested.
[+] Smooth combat mechanics
The tag on this game, souls-like, captures it perfectly. When you lose a fight, you often will feel like you messed it up more than the boss being absurdly hard. You'll only blame bosses if you're arrogant of your abilities. It's hard, but it's doable if you keep a level-head and keep trying.
[+] Amount of Content
How often do developers include 3 DLCs for free in a base game? Most games have a lootbox system, pay to win, or pay for extra content component.

Cons
[-]Difficulty
Despite the game feeling balanced and you having plenty of ways to beat bosses, it's pretty challenging. You may retry some bosses 10 or so times just learning the mechanics. Expect yourself to struggle.
[-]Secret Areas
Maybe I'm stupid, but I struggled to find a handful of secret areas that add new things/items/abilities etc.. Some people like this, but I wished perhaps they could elude to some of the secret areas that feel important/meaningful. You may find yourself at 80-90% game completion, wondering where the last bits are, despite what looks like a fleshed out map, and hitting walls throughout the game isn't always intuitive.
