What is there really to be said that hasn't already been written by someone else. TF2 is a timeless classic that so far has not been matched, let alone surpassed, by any other game.

In theory this is a great game that is right up my alley because I love politics/economy simulations.

But after playing this game for close to 500 hours I don't think I can recommend it anymore because it is still extremely buggy, the performance is abysmal for the simple voxel graphics, and the user interfaces are an inconsistent mess. These things would perhaps be excusable for a very new Early Access Game, but Eco has been around for quite a few years and there seems to be zero interest by the developers to address all of these issues.

Instead of taking the time to do some of this non-glamorous, but necessary work, I get the feeling that most of the individual developers seem to just work on whatever they feel like at any given time with zero project management, which results in all sorts of unnecessary stuff being tacked onto the game that really has no justification for existing (Such as face tracking for your avatar...).

The core gameplay loop is incredibly boring and repetitive. Combat feels slow and janky. Sure, playing with friends can be somewhat fun, but at least for me that gets old real quick. Regret not having refunded the game when I still could.

Intentionally bad controls and "whacky randomness" does not a good game make. Also lacks support for 4K and 16:10 screens.
