It's a fun game to play - think first Dawn of War vibes - and it really gets the satire of the original film down.

The missions are fun and pretty addictive, but there are some notable bugs - units getting stuck on invisible corners, units shooting through rock formations etc. The most annoying thing is that the endings to missions are very abrupt. You'll be getting stuck into defending a base when the story will end with saying that you need to evacuate your troops via shuttle. The mission will just freeze and end right there - it would be so much more fun to actually tactically retreat your troops to the shuttles. The freezeframe ending is deeply unsatisfying and a pretty big immersion breaker.

Overall though, a fun and authentic Starship Troopers experience.

"How about we just do The Last of Us but... oh I dunno, it's the plague or something?"

"Aren't you worried people will realise?"

"Na we'll make the characters all speak with goofy French accents, totally different."

Excellent Game! Full on puzzle solving, alien blasting, metroid remeniscing fun. However it has the overall feel of a demo to it, relatively short and missing a few propper features like a map screen that leaves you running back and forth aroun the levels a little longer than you'd want to, without progressing the narrative.

Would definately reccomend (Especially for £3.59!) and will certainly be buying any sequels/ developments of the franchise.
