I replaced life with this game
10/10
Totally recommended. A better life filled with creatures, roles, techniques, abilities, no COVID-19, sylphs, dreadful gods and a lot of sexy stuff.
Play it at your own risk.

I highly recommend this game, it may be a time eater, it's not one of those casual things, tough. Combat is pretty fun, quests, missions, progression and overall aspect of the game including graphics is beautiful, even tough it's an old game.
The ability to switch classes mid-game and the class variety is also very interesting. You start with Cryomancer, Paladin and Lightbinder. These are the first three classes available. The other ones may be hard to get, as i mentioned earlier, it may be a time eater.
Please be aware that i am talking from the perspective of a casual gamer, as for me these aspects don't matter.
I am not gonna relate to anything regarding the P2W aspect, i repeat, i am a casual gamer, i may fully progress this game next year.
The downside is, it may be a pretty hard at times, the challenge is there, it is real.
As for anything else, press the install button and see for yourself.
Have a nice day!

Do you recommend this game?
Yes, i do, with all my heart.
After all these years of playing mmos, trying different ones, trying to mingle with publishers and cash-shops, i found TERA the most satisfying mmorpg there is. Don't mind my hours, i played a lot on the non-steam version
Why?
1. Action MMORPG
2. Easy to get into: pretty nice story, easy to level up, easy to get the gear, you don't need a million hours to get end game gear or a gazillion mobs to kill. So, new or just returning player, it won't be hard for you to get a grip on the game.
3. Combat feels satisfying, in all ways.
4. Classes and races feel unique.
5. Dungeon system is well-built and the high-tier raids and dungeons present a challenge.
6. Friendly community from what i have experienced so far. Weirdos are everywhere, just don't mind them, you find them anywhere.
7. A lot of events, things to do daily, cures boredom.
8. Immersive world, i always felt like i was on the point of an orgasm while travelling the world, riding my horse.
9. Well-designed interface
10. Bossy top-ass MMO.

Of course, every game comes with his downsides, nothing is perfect, so here we go.
1. Lots of walking unless you want to buy the TERA Membership pack to get the fast travel item. (but hey, travelling in TERA is nice, the world is beautiful, it's a joy.)
2. Some bosses will deliver hell straight to your home, you will feel like you want to rip of the hair out of your head. (But hey, this is what "challenging" is all about.)
3. Cash Shop and Gameforge. Nobody likes the way they do their things, but hey, it's free, people work behind the decks to bring you all these goodies, living human beings.
As for me, i have nothing against Gameforge, i find them a decent company who cares about their customers from what i have experienced so far. I even got a refund when my account was blocked because of a region change, and the payment was made in that region.
And i am not interested in fashion, this game offers more than fashion for show-off, but if you want to help the devs and look a lot better, Cash Shop is for you.

Opinions on Cash Shop may vary, use them at your own risk.

Overall, i find TERA, at this point in my life, when i am fully employed with technically not much time on my hands, the best choice that satisfies me in therms of Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.
In my honest opinion, after WoW, Lineage, Aion, Diablo, Black Desert (Aion and Diablo in their good days) and a few other gimmicks, this is the best option of a free mmo out there.
I know WoW is not free, but it's outdated, ugly, lazy mechanics and stuff. I just wanted to point that out.

That's all for today.
Enjoy your free time and don't waste it.
The choice is yours!

I played this in the past, on another steam account, i got attached somehow to it. I hope the game won't end soon. It's not as full as before, but i hope it will see a new light soon. Thanks for publishing this game, Gameforge. I don't know why the population dropped so much lately, but i hope it will go back to what it was.
