As you can see from other reviews, the economic model incredibly angers laissez-faire capitalists which by itself should compel you to slam the [Add to Cart] button. Luckily, it also seems to be a pretty good game! Also, Paradox has a long history of post-release support, so its weak points should be filed down in time.

Its weakest point, a somewhat shy/lackluster AI, is easily remedied by playing in multiplayer with a dozen other people who also don't know what they're doing.

This is the best game I've ever played where my tie was a pivotal supporting character.

This is the best game of 2019

I am not being sarcastic in the slightest. You will rediscover a better part of yourself.

You should buy this game if you like conquering things. It's essentially a world simulator for the Age of Discovery (1450 - 1820) and is more refined than anything else Paradox has done on this scale. If you enjoyed Crusader Kings 2, this is the next step - less emphasis on dynasties, more emphasis on nation-building. Incredible depth and yet pretty accessible.
