This game's story had my feelings in a choke-hold the whole way through.

Overall, the graphics are beautiful, somehow the pixel art in this game manages to have so much depth and emotion to it! The characters are wonderfully expressive and I am amazed at how well designed the epic backgrounds are.

The only downside is that the grappling can be quite hard to master and having played on the veteran difficulty (1 step below hardcore) I found myself extremely frustrated in two of the boss fights because of how challenging and repetitive it got at times. But nothing that can't be overcome with a few deaths and retries, learning the techniques and such.

The difficult-to-master maneuvering sometimes got in the way of what I (as some others have said) think is the best part of this game - its story.

There are a lot of cut-scenes, but I feel that is a big part of the charm of this game. I found myself really appreciating the depth of the characters, and how the developers were willing to bring us into some real heart-to-hearts.

I can't say too much about the themes without spoiling anything, but it definitely made me think of some of Kazuo Ishiguro's novels in the way the story was set out to be a reflection of human behaviour. This is one of the few games that has made me absolutely bawl my eyes out several times within its story.

This game is AWESOME and its only $9.99! Some say it's like a 2D Minecraft. NOT TRUE! It is mainly about killing bosses and getting really good armour and lots of money.

Over the years, Terraria has continually received plentiful updates, each time adding exciting new features and wonderful content for everyone who had already completed the game so far. Even after the Moon Lord update we still received further bosses to complete after the "final" boss of the game. Not to mention the absolutely fantastic mods available like Calamity. I haven't tried other mods, but after playing through the Calamity mod I can confirm that the game is more than worth the price tag (even if the price has increased since 2011).
