I still like this game, but its a paradise of bugs and less than functional mechanics. Would I recommend this game? Yes. Should you get it right now? No, wait till it gets fixed.

As someone who likes building, likes ships and likes building ships this game is great. As far as i can tell its pretty accurate however armour pen is insane, everyone I've spoken to agrees that armour is pretty much useless especially late game and in the academy and you're better off investing in guns and speed which is a shame hopefully to be fixed.

complex game with lots to learn, fairly easy to pick up (if you don't mind losing a fair old bit) and even unfinished has a nearly endless variety of play styles which can all work, even using a BB as a massive jamming farm :). combat has a fair bit of build up, but there's always lots to do while you wait. helpful community, and i always find myself having fun even as my ass is terminated by stealth rail guns or I'm eaten alive by a beam laser. oh yeah, reactor explosions, gorgeous gorgeous reactor explosions
