Look, this game will outright ruin gaming for you. It's a puzzle/base building/RTS/top down shooter hybrid that will make everything else you play pale in comparison. And that's just the vanilla game. Factorio is truly something special, and if you don't try it out, you absolutely are missing out.

When you do start, don't look for guides, or for tips on how other players have done it. Play the tutorials, and keep going. The game will feel overwhelming with each new system you learn, but you'll get the hang of it.

In the first ten minutes of the tutorial, a wandering space-heroin addict tried to raid my home. My dog savaged him, and my colonist decided to play horseshoes over his body. The next day, a wandering merchant offered to sell me a doomsday rocket launcher and what I take it were low-yield nuclear weapons.

I really, really want to like this game. It's got a lot going for it content wise, and its a step in the right direction - unfortunately, I can barely enjoy any of it as it runs like hot garbage. Now I don't have a bad machine, and ran BFV and BF1 without issue, and can run most new games on medium settings. I can only play 32 player matches, otherwise I get sub-20 FPS. Coupled with technical issues like fire rate apparently being tied to framerate, it's effectively unplayable aside from Portal. Looking forward to updating this when it's in a more accessible state.

Overall excellent F2P game. Highly recommended. Good mechanics, solid focus on objective gameplay, fun gunplay, generalized absurdity. What's not to love?

Also - Business model is pretty darn fair - sidegrades rather than upgrades.

I was storming a trench and was forced to beat a man to death screaming for mercy. I was then promptly bayonetted through the face by a man yelling at me for murdering his brother. Such is Red Orchestra 2, the most polished and disturbing WWII FPS I have ever had the pleasure to play. More survival horror than many of the other games in the genre that pretend to be.

I fast traveled to the starting island. It immediately catapulted my ship and myself a hundred feet into the air. What followed was about seven seconds of silence as my ship, my crew, and myself ragdolled back down to the sea. When I hit the water I immediatly desyncronized. 11/10, would break again.

Unique RTS. Think Age of Empires II but with more in depth economic/building system, and slightly more effective siege units. Sank an absurd number of hours in already, and well worth the low price.

Very fun, very addicting, very easy to sink hours and hours into. Incredibly tense and incredibly engrossing.
