The most common theme in this game... If you find a way to play it that is fun and the larger community agrees TFP will remove the ability to play the game that way because they hate you, they don't want you to have fun in your way. They only want you to have fun in the way they demand. The game went from good to bad to worse and sure aint worth $45 hell its not even worth the $30 it was while in early access any more.

Yes, that's right its Eve in VR. BUT NO MORE STARING AT MENUS

Seriously this game feels like Eve online in VR with its style and execution but so vastly different that it keeps you entertained. You are now the FC telling your fleet what to do, who to target and what builds to use without having to memorize the meta.

This game is not easy, you will die, and you will die repeatedly. You cannot brute force your way through any of the missions. They require strategy and tact. Best of all you cant go steam roll an early mission with awesome fleet of Battle Cruisers and Battleships, all of the enemy fleets in every mission are updated to be on par with your fleets combat abilities or in the case of some missions higher than your fleet.

There is currently 12 solo missions with the ability to have a friend take on the role of one of your ships via local coop, Skirmish, PVP, and a conquest mode that's akin to risk (i cant think of a better game to compare it to right now, no dice involved) on a galactic scale. There are some bugs but that's expected of any game that is in EA.

Over all if you have every played Tachyon The Fringe, Eve Online, Or even Ace Combat you want this game, NO, you NEED this game. You will not regret it

Its a whole new take on Total war, The new interfaces are a bit confusing at first. The espionage actions can be fun but need some work, It should be easier to keep your spy from defecting but alas if they are recruited and made a general the same turn say good bye. Over all I would Highly recommend this game for veterans of TW and new comers, although it may be easier to start in TW Rome 2 or Shogun 2 than here

I laughed, I cried, I stayed up way to late in middle school way too many nights. Even lost a friend or too by ignoring them to play FF8. This Game introduced me to what it truly meant to play an RPG

terrible game wont run in 1920x1080 with out crashing cant alt tab with out crashing frame constantly dropping below 20 with a system well above the recomended reqs. do your self a favor dont waste your time or money and dont count on steam to take care of you they wont issue a refund on a terrible game. spose that makes sense with their terrible customer service.

In 2000 i purchased this game retail played the ever living hell out of this game over my summers staying up till 3 or 4 in the morning just to start again and again day after day for the thrill of flying in outer space on my 333 Mghz windows 98 computer. Purchased again off a third party site in 2009 that allowed cd key to be used max 3 times played the hell out of it again used my code 3 times due to computer upgrades not played again until today when it was seen on steam... well here goes the rest of my life friends may not hear from me again till i complete both sides of the story... again and again. 10/10 to be realistic in my rating but if up to me this game would be a requirement to even be considered a gamer. Oh yea... Bruce Campbell the glorious thief from Xena but still a bad ass
