Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of ... a mistfit, poorly coordinated-yet-plucky band of little green men.
It.is.an.absolute.hoot.

Build a space program. Get to solar-synchronous orbit, get to other planets, and try not to die.

Like solve problems? Like to make stuff do stuff? You'll like Shenzhen IO.
Zachtronics really knocked it out of the ballpark with Shenzhen.

Right up until the end -- it's quirky and diverting. Then it becomes something else entirely. Play it all the way through. Trust me.

Survival is a dark endeavor. You will experience the elation of victory and the suffocating darkness of grief as you keep your survivors alive and, ultimately, back into space.

Early Access Review
I love problem solving games. In Squally, you've got to wield assembly to keep your floating brain alive as he faces off against ogres and goblins and wizards. The world's fabric is yours to manipulate, and your own ingenuity your greatest weapon.

Honestly, for being nearly 10 years old, this game is still a lot of fun to play. The game itself is free, and at no cost you've got access to the major players in the Star Trek Universe. I've started a Klingon captain, a Romulan captain, a Human captain, and an alien captain.
As with any MMO, some of the missions can get a little grindy, but on the whole, player progression is still fairly well paced, and the variety in character creation/evolution is impressive.
It should be mentioned that if you're going to go PVP, prepare to either -reallllly- grind for good equipment, or pay some hefty sums for more powerful ships.

Remarkable.

In this day-and-age of photorealistic real-time renderings slugging it out with behemoth GPUs, this game proves that what maes a game good is the concept and the play, not the flash surrounding it.

So good.

So so good.

This pack is fun.

Seriously - between the morning star, javelin, and great sword, I have never felt more encouraged to play around with the melee mechanics in this game. The heavy crossbow with explosive bolts is worth the cost of the DLC on its own.

If you're a game purist, and would feel traumatized by the "break in immersion" caused by bank robbers swinging swords around, I'd avoid this pack.

If you play video games to have fun, grab this pack, and wreak a little medieval mayhem with the weapons it contains.

==WARNING== After purchasing this mod pack, you still have to unlock the items via some fairly difficult achievements.

The mods I've unlocked are pretty cool. I've got a decent silenced CAR and an 89-damage AMR-16-nail driver.
Downside of course is that after _purchasing_ the pack, you have to run through some fairly difficult tasks to unlock them.
I like the work Overkill is doing with Payday2, so I'll continue to support them.
