10/10 - WOULD PLAY AGAIN

I held off reviewing this game for a year because when I first bought it, State of Decay was so absolutely epic that I thought it was too good to be true. Well, one year later, after I've had time to process this game all I can say is this:
This game is the greatest zombie apocalypse simulator ever made.
I've never played a game that even comes close to the pure genius that is State of Decay (Sorry DayZ fans, but no contest here). While I admit the graphics in this game are a bit dated, there are a few annoying but minor glitches, and after many many hours of this game it can start to feel repetitive but everything else more than makes up for it. The controls are reminiscent of Resident Evil 4, the atmostphere is similar to that of The Walking Dead, and the ability to control an entire group of survivors trying to survive a zombie apocalypse is just the icing on the cake. If you don't already have this game do yourself a favor and BUY IT NOW (At the time of this review it is currently 75% off the base game and both DLC) I also recommend the Breakdown DLC if you're looking for more of a challenge and the Lifeline DLC for an entirely new story.

My first experience with a Saints Row game was with the original: A gritty, realistic version of GTA. Not that impressed. So naturally, I was skeptical when I decided to download and try SR IV on steams free weekend. Well after about 10 hours of gameplay I can honestly say: THIS. GAME. RULES.

Okay think GTA. Now add the whole "humans trapped in a virtual world waiting to be awoken" concept from the Matrix. Now add in the silly humor of Timesplitters. Finally, add ATLEAST 1 reference from basically every sci-fi movie, tv show, game, etc. that ever exsisted. That is this game. Oh and did I mention you get super powers? Playing the President of the United states during an alien invasion has never been this much fun.

The heir apparent to Uncharted 2 with a 21-year-old Lara in place of Drake. Need I say more? It's brilliant; Utterly and completely brilliant. 10/10
