This is a good Vanguard game.

May be a little pricy depending on where you're buying, but the DLCs are totally optional. You can get all the cards in the game by just playing.
The UI is not that good for playing with keyboard and mouse but very intuitive for a controller, so I recommend using one.
The original characters are good, some are great, although the story is a bit weak.

Overall, great game. Nice for testing decks too.

Edit after 200+ hours of playing this game. Unfortunately, the claim I made about getting all the cards by just playing is not true anymore with the release of set 6. Everything included on the Additional Card Pass cannot be crafted in-game if you don't buy the DLC. This basically means that if you don't buy it, you can't seriously play ranked matches.

I don't know why they thought this was a good idea. Be aware. If the game was cheaper, I could consider paying for expensive DLC, but I won't buy an expensive game AND pay for expensive DLC which:
A - Should be free for a $70 game;
B - Makes the game useless online if you don't buy it.

I'm dropping this until these DLCs get a good discount, which is a shame, because the game is actually good. I still recommend the game, but just if you can afford the base game + the Additional Card Pass DLC.
