It's a fun little game, although I noticed that, given the visual style and graphical fidelity, maybe the system requirements are above what it should ask for, specially given the lack of graphical options. Not that it affects me currently, but could affect other users.

Undoubtedly the best one of the 4 games (not counting Dark Matter, I have yet to play that one). The story takes a much more important role and you see how the search of the Null has devoured and destroyed many people, ever since we started the journey in The Room 1. They throw in some callbacks to past games and it is lovely to see.

It is a much more rounded and coherent experience, the story reflects the mechanics and the attic puzzle reflects the story back. Edward is lost looking for his wife Abigail, and when you control a mannequin representing him, you also travel from room to room, possibly getting lost as well. I found it very clever.

Mazes within mazes.
The Circle got what they wanted. What they always wanted.

6 out of 10
If I was to give it a rating I'd give it a 6/10 . It is a very simple and easy to understand MMORPG, a safe option to anyone who wants to get into RPGs.

Things the game gets right
  1. Simplicity, it is a very easy to get into RPG, even for those who have never played an RPG or are barely familiar with the concept.
  2. Charisma, the game has a very unique colour pallete and design, reminiscent of WoW for some; and there are some really interesting and unique monsters and NPCs and a few funny dialogs here and there.
  3. Community, there is barely any toxicity in this game and most of the people are quite nice, and if you stay long enough they might be the only reason why you play. That is how good it gets.

Things the game gets wrong
  1. Repetitiveness, A LOT of enemies are reskins of enemies that you have already seen and the combat is almost always the same (but that helps to keep it simple)
  2. Not immersive, don't look here for immersion, the game does not have voice acting and only a handful of cutscenes so most of the things are text, which makes them fall flat. (The Moon story line could have REALLY benefited by voice acting)
  3. At the time of this review the game is not complete, the main story cannot be completed and there are LOTS of places that have a "Coming soon" label, as well as some unnecessary gimmicks such as Chess that absolutely no one plays or plays once and moves on.

Conclusion
I recommend it if you are looking for a chill and laid-back experience, or are new to RPGs; but if you are a veteran of the genre or moving up on it I would not recommend it, mainly because of the bad things I mentioned.

(Personal note: The developers are proud to say they give out weekly updates with absolutely consistency for longer than a decade, but in my opinion this game could REALLY use some time in the oven and get some quality updates instead of same reused assets every so often)
