However, I would caution against using a report that was published less than a month ago as there hasn't be sufficient time for truly independent experts to review the paper. Furthermore, the report reviews too few species to be conclusive and is tied to the geographic region that is the least likely to host humans in large numbers.

The specific chain of extinctions that is often used as evidence for the human driven model is: Australia 46,000 years ago, Tasmania 41,000 years ago, Japan 30,000 years ago, North America 13,000 years ago, South America 12,500 years ago. I've attached a study from 2009 that reviews North America specifically.
