The game is about ugliness, but the game itself is everything BUT ugly.
It looks really great, with absolutely amazing animation and design for boss fights.
The story telling is compelling, and the puzzles are often really well thought.
The music fits perfectly with the game, the ambience is very unique.

Having played lots of puzzle games (although not "hardcore" ones), and lots of platformers (including hardcore ones), this game is a perfect combination of both. This both means it is suited perfectly for players like me, but could prove very difficult for players who lack puzzle or (especially) platformer experience.

I rarely post reviews, even though I've played hundreds of games, but this one surely deserves a lot more recognition. I hope we'll get another game from this studio some day.

The only small downside is during the True Ending puzzles, when you wake up in the cellar everytime (rather than in the hub where you were moments ago), which feels a bit like a chore (forcing you to travel again to where you were a moment before)
