This was my first From Software game I've played, and it did live up to the hype. VERY difficult, yet not impossible. Every fight has a moveset to learn and overcome. The game rewards changing your build/weapon to capitalize on each fight's weaknesses. While difficult, I found this game pretty newcomer friendly, as you can just explore another area if you're stuck on a boss. Overleveling for bosses is possible, and while it does make it easier, you still have to have skill to beat them. End game bosses are just teeth-grittingly difficult no matter what you do, yet so rewarding when you finally fell the boss you've been stuck on for the last 30 deaths. Environment is rich with exploration possibilities. On the surface, the story seems very bare, but any sort of deep dive into the lore reveals so much more than is initially presented. The gameplay feels great, and the fighting hitboxes are top notch. From Software hit the ball out of the park in my opinion, and I look forward to picking up their other titles to try out now.

I love the "We Were Here" series! I play it with my brother who lives a few hours away, so it's fun to have something we can still bond over. I give this game a thumbs up on all levels except one... play length. My brother and I are pretty good at puzzle solvers, so this game took us no time to finish. We have now beaten the game three times (hunting achievements) and I only have 3.8 hours played. So while I do recommend this game, the time value is just pretty poor. Total Mayhem Games if you're reading this, please make the next game longer!

I don't normally post reviews, but this game really impressed me. I love the platformer style and they mixed in so many cool combat/player interactions that really made this game so unique and fun to play. The three skill trees all have really cool improvements and abilities that make the game even more fun as well (although I wish there were even more skills!). When it comes to platformers, this game has it all. Great story, BEAUTIFUL graphics, super intense escape scenes, and fun puzzles (and hard bang-your-head-against-the-wall puzzles) that once you finish them, there is such a great sense of accomplishment. The game took me just over 10 hours to beat, and it has great replayability potential as well. There are several different difficulties, including a "one-life" playthrough option. Between finding all the secrets, beating all the puzzles, mastering the combat, and enjoying how absolutely gorgeous and fluid this game is, I can't choose what aspect I like the most. Great game, cannot suggest it enough.

Awesome sandbox realistic shooter that will keep you entertained for many hours. Mod it, or play it vanilla, it's all fun.
