Short but sweet. A good introduction to new characters and a brand new setting. Sit back and enjoy what it's like to be a kid with a vivid imagination. It's funny how just a short episode already surpasses another game in the franchise... I'm looking at you Before the Storm, with solid storytelling and good characters.

Thank you Red Hook for this! Now I can play Darkest Dungeon in all its full glory. :D

For those who can't seem to install the DLC, just untick/tick the box in the DLC section of the game in your library and it will install.

For the amount of content the Deluxe Edition provides, I do not think that it is worth the price. The bonus episode though is a nice extra for LiS fans, it doesn't really offer anything much that we didn't already know. The extra outfits and mix tape doesn't offer anything new gameplay-wise. If this is probably one-fourth it's asking price, then I would recommend it, but as of now do not get the deluxe upgrade, if you feel obligated to purchase it just because you are a big fan or you want to support the devs, it's up to you but I'd really advise to get it on a Steam sale at the least.

Play game with family... CHECK!
See family go down in flames... CHECK!
No one speaks to each other for a week... CHECK!

TL;DR - Buy game, play game, obtain peace and quiet.

Finally gotten around to playing this... Definitely the best of the franchise, revisit familiar character with all new wit, jokes, pop-culture parodies and references and of course great puzzles and an epic story.

Now KING Art Games... GIVE US PART 3!!!

Note: There are times when the game bugs out and you can't continue due to the bug, there is a pinned thread in the discussions area with save points in different locations in the game to help you replace the ones that wonks out if you don't have an earlier save file.

Though not as amusing and funny as the first game in the series, this installment of the franchise still does deliver. Good, funny and witty dialogue with good puzzles. My complaint is that it is fairly short but definitely worth buying.

This is one of the games that got me interested again in point & click adventures, witty, funny, with a dash of pop-culture parody and of course good puzzles, what else can you ask for?

Is the vanilla game too easy for you, think you have everything figured out? Worry not, it's time for Red Hook Studios to throw a wrench... RIGHT INTO YOUR GROIN! Seriously though, this DLC is a good addition for the game, it adds a new mechanic just to screw around with you a bit, definitely not for a beginner of the game/genre (Good thing you can turn it off when you begin a new game.) Then there is the new class, The Masoch~ er, I mean Flagellant... Nothing like a good old-fashioned whipping to get the blood pumping, *~AAAHN! I would still recommend getting this DLC on a sale, overall I would rate this DLC a 3.5 *~AAAHN!s out of 5.

P.S.: Seriously though, if you are a beginner in both the genre and the game, do not turn this DLC on when you begin. Get a hang of the base game first, turn this DLC on once you more or less master the vanilla version and want to amp up the challenge level.

Got this DLC when I bought the Ancestral Edition Bundle. Definitely a nice class to play around with, I would suggest getting it on sale though. The best part about the shieldbreaker though is how flexible the character is, she can strike anyone from anywhere in the party. The new nightmare mechanic is interesting, my advice though is to properly level up before sticking your shieldbreaker in medium and long missions. I'd give this DLC a 4 soiled trousers out of 5.
